Poor planning, local corruption and the flaunting of EU environmental guidelines are turning Spain's coastline into a "deep ulcer" of urban development that is polluting beaches and poisoning the sea. In some places, the number of second homes is causing desperate problems for the local community. In areas where the locals can no longer afford to buy properties, the finger is pointed at outsiders with second homes.
The same situation is happening in all Spain and the most of the new members countries of the EU. Corruption have nothing to do with the prices of the properties.
Any property inland Spain is tremendous expensive in comparation with the prices 10 years ago, as in the coast.
The Costa del Sol will be allways a fantastic destiny for any people who wants enjoy good weather, ammenities and quiet.
