Sistah you stood out the most and the best in this commercial! I've seen it on tv and now I can sorta say "Hey I know that Queen!". LOL! I'm glad you were featured here.
I understand what you mean, but if it's wrong when local stores pretend to care about customers, it's still wrong here. Granted it does make people feel better about themselves, it still feels like a phony lie.
That's true, good point, but seldom are their practices harmful. I buy from local businesses not because I care about the family that owns it or whether or not it's struggling, but because I don't care for the marketing or business practices of larger corporations, who, buy the way, always have enough money and are on a never-ending quest to find more, and they'll do anything to get it... like convincing people they really do care about the customer, violating human rights for cheaper goods, etc
I've never been in a city that didn't have a mom and pop run store. And while it may be good that they were paid, they exploited their average, everyday appearances for cash. Just like you said, their objective is to make money, but at least small stores and generic brands don't use such devious, underhanded advertising tactics.
I either buy my clothes from thrift stores or independent companies. All other necessities I buy from my local mom and pop shop. I prefer not to be suckered in by the superficiality of corporations like Wal-Mart.
I love commercials like this. I love seeing beauty companies acknowledge that everyone is flawed, but beautiful in their own way. I love that this commercial says it's ok not to be skinny, or tall, or have perfect teeth, or perfect skin, or perfect facial features, because you're still beautiful.
You've been suckered into their marketing ploys, I'm afraid. They don't genuinely realize the beauty in all women... they just claim to because it makes people feel better about themselves which makes them buy the product.
I realize everybody is flawed and respect that. Marketing companies, however, do not. They're just trying to exploit that and cash in.
Do your eyes sit wide Does You Nose go to the side Does Elbow Have a Crinkle Does your knees sorta wrinkle Does Your Chest Tend To Freckle Do You Have a Crooked Smile Do Your Eyes Sit Wide Do Your ears sorta wiggle Does Your Hair Make a Giggle Does Your Neck Grow Long Do your hips sing a song Do your ears hang low
i love this commercial. its just awesome. I always want to download songs that are played on a commercial and this is one, i wish there was the ability to download the song, danm u dove and walmart. BUT great song
Great commercial. We women are so hard on other women, its nice for a woman's product to basically say, you are all beautiful, and even more so with your imperfections!!!
it makes the most sense to me. i mean today, you have to be super skinny, and really well you have to be formed the right way, or else you're considered ugly. All you need is to be yourself and that's the true beauty.
For some reason when I hear this song I just feel, happy. He he. I guess they did a good job of getting the public to listen. I usually hate these commercials. But AlwaysSearching101 is right, I googled, LOL.
THANK YOU for uploading this video! I was looking for it everywhere. I would love to link to it but I need a clean version without the stupid comments on this page. Can you please do another upload with ALL the comments turned off?
Thats the whole point of the commercial its to help girls and women make them feel beutiful and people like u that are making fun of them are nt helping you act like like ur perfect I wish i could see u on a 30" HDTV and then lets see who looks weird
I am not sure you REALLY know the message the "Do Your Ears Hang Low..." song has embedded within. The older generation would be offended by the song and the lyrics of the original song. Google it!
Do your ears hang low? Do they wobble to and fro? Can you tie 'em in a knot? Can you tie 'em in a bow? Can you throw 'em over your shoulder like a continental soldier? Do your ears hang low? I remember a version my mom sang swapping out ears with boobs...hehe... Moms...gotta love 'em...
Do your eyes sit wide Does your nose turn to the side Do your elbows kind of crinkle Do your knees sort of wrinkle Does your chest tend to freckle Do you have a crooked smile Do your eyes sit wide Do your ears sort of wiggle Does your hair make you giggle Does your neck grow long Do your hips sing a song Do your ears hang low
Pilar, I love this commercial. I was actually in Walmart and bought some Dove Soap and I was in the shower singing, Do your eyes sit wide. LOL. I also like the bounce/swagger you had when you were walking
"do your hips sing a song". What does that even mean?

I never said i was going to purchase anything from them, I just said I was proud that people acknowledge it.

Oh, well yeah, I was just saying if they genuinely meant it, it would be nice, unfortunately, they realize people will spend money on such a notion.
