Looking 4 a recipe for "apricot horns" from my childhood Christmas parties. They were a soft, sort of tart/savory cookie with an apricot filling. Very similar to the Kifles and Kolaches I'm finding online; however they were shaped differently. From what I recall they were more of a round shaped cut with apricot in the center and then both sides of the circle were folded over to meet sort of forming a "horn" shape. Are these the same thing??? I love these cookies and I need to make them!!
@Sisters4EverABNR What country are you from? My mom is Czech and made them every Christmas - only difference is she didn't fold them over - just put a dent in the center and put in the jam, baked and rolled in powder sugar immediately out of oven and then again when cooled. Same recipe - just different shape and LOTS more powder sugar! :)
Ok...that does it...i'm calling you Mrs Kipling!!!!! These look amazing and i love your very easy to understand step by step instructions. I will be trying these!
OMG....you made them already!!! I did a triple take when I saw the title of your new video! Good Lord you're quick, I like just sent that to you a day or two ago!
Thank you for making and filming it, I definitely have to make those now!
Tho I do have to confess that I waited until the end of the video to comment to make sure that it got a good passing grade from you first! :P
Looks Russian (or eastern European at least) ...and the dough is just cream cheese, butter, & flour! You specified it's salted butter. We only have unsalted butter, is the salt content critical?
You should put the URL to the video in the description box. I'm very bossy like that ;) I see where it was loaded befor the butterscotch toffee bars and was a fail. You got 55 views on that whereas you normally get 170-230+ hits. So yeah, loading ahead of time is a fail (lol) I had a "money shot" jonesing yday.
I ended up just deleting the "cookie fail" video. Not much point having a failed cookie video up. I just wanted people to see that they don't always work out okay.
I wondered why you didn't have a video yesterday. I will go back to see what was shoved down. I guess that is why I asked the other day if you had loaded it ahead of time...it will show up as a video loaded at that day/time and if you have a bazillion subscriptions, people don't get to see if. I don't have a ton of subscriptions, but enough that the last few of yours I have had to dig through to find it!! Anyway, on to the video.
hmm you could put Nutella in the center as well :) it must taste delicious

I don't think the salt or lack thereof will make any difference. I mention that it is salted butter, because if I don't, someone will ask!
