I think the Gwen-hate happens because she's the popular girl who has everything her way. I like her, she's a caring person, but it's annoying that she sleeps with Owen and lusts after Jack but still gets to keep her boyfriend. She has her cake and eats it too. Let's face it, she's a Mary Sue and Mary Sues are hard to like. It's a testament to Eve Myles' likeability that I like Gwen in spite of these things.

This ... wasn't expected. Gwen was annoying as hell, but ... she DID do a good job the majority of the time ... I think she got her due when she was impregnated with an alien on her wedding day.

If Gwen weren't always trying to get Jack I might be okay with her. Eve is pretty and probably a very nice person but I just can't stand her character. That's just my opinion. But for her to go from Rhys to Jack to Owen to Jack to Rhys to Jack to Owen and then back to Rhys AGAIN for MARRIAGE while still being 'in love' with Jack -- that's just a bit irritating.

That means that, after Oliver runs for a year, Burn may be able to return to Torchwood - let's hope so anyway =)

from the torchwood declassified i got the feelin it was the writers choice not the actors. they wanted to get across the message that in torchwood you die young. i think its a good idea. it means we dont get bored of characters. they remain great in our memories n it allows a continuing change n potential for surprise each year

I doubt Owen died - you never actually see it happen, and the last thing he says is "it's alright - really, it's alright". This COULD mean "i'm OK with dieing", or it could mean "i'm not going to die".

We'll see I guess. But the guy who plays Owen said himself that no-one knows what really happened to him, not even the writers - they're leaving their options open.
