  • Another bumbin tune buy the talented Mr. Hayes ,He left us with a GREAT ton of HITS

  • Great song by the legendary Isaac Hayes! From February 1980!

R.I.P. Isaac Hayes...1942-2008. Rest well, sir.

  • That Bass line is on fire!

  • pass that thing

  • one of the best dance songs ever.

  • Anyone knows the Issac Hayes track where he is with his babe ..AND SAYS CHEERS TO US LITTLE BLACK ..DUCKS?

  • msfirecracker you are hot

  • It was a terrible weekend for me back in August of 2008. Bernie Mac died on my 41st birthday....and Issac Hayes joined him the next day. :-(

  • girl don't let go sayeth from the book of Isaac

  • Isaac Hayes ~ Don't Let Go is awesome tune always, so is this vid

  • Weird, what did the girl have to do with the song?

  • @kevomac12 Maybe she let go ha, ha

  • ULTIMATE ..THEN ..NOW..FOREVER.

  • great dusty- and precious video too!

  • I have been searching for this song since the mid 80's . I thought it was Barry White. Thank you so much! I have asked many people if they know the EW WEE AW SHUCKS SONG from Barry White. Now I kow it was Isaac Hayes!

  • I have been looking for this song too. I looked every where, never thought of Issac. Thanks for posting this.

  • Who did this song originally? I know it was written by someone named Stonk, and I've also heard The Jerry Garcia Band do this song. Needless to say Jerry's arrangement is very different from what Mr Hayes did with it. But Jerry's version sounds like an old school R&B or blues tune from the 50's or 60's (well, it does until he starts jamming, then it sounds like...well, it sounds like your typical Jerry/Dead space jam).

  • This song was originally performed and written by Jesse Stone. Jesse Stone was an African-American musician who was the first black person to work behind the scenes at Atlantic Records in 1945.

  • Thanks. I've been wondering about that. The "Jesse Stonk" credit on the live disc I have from The Jerry Garcia Band must be a misprint. Is the Jesse Stone version in print anywhere?

  • This is Isaac Hayes singing.

  • Yes, we know it's Isaac Hayes. What's your point?

  • What kind of bed liner is in that pick up? Its not an Armor Coat is it?

  • Why this vid is not available in all countries, what the hell, I need to use god damned proxy, only cause I'm on holidays!

Isaac Hayes is awesome, and this song Rokz! (sorry Discogz).

  • DISCO!!!!!!!

  • thank you for posting a tribute to Isaac and Bernie....you look fabulous in your dresses..i like the saffron one..flowers were a nice touch too

  • LUV this song! went to 'trash disco' couple weeks ago and when this song came on the place went stupid-crazy wild!! there was nowhere to dance the floor was just jammed!

  • I like Disco and South Park. I'm 25 this month and Issac's passing hurts double perhaps to me. In my mind Chef will always be singing this song and about 2x more with the build-up sequence. Goodbye Issac, George Carlin, Bernie Mac and John Ritter. They held enjoyment swords of the oldschool ways...

  • Happy Birthday! Yes, I know. He will be missed. Wish I was cool like he. Too cool. Love that South Park, too. They made a perfect choice with him.

  • Isaac Hayes is the best. RIP soul brother.

  • I love your videos!! Thanks so much!

  • Ms.Firecracker, you do look good in the blue, but what is doing it for me is this groove by Iassc....when my girl gets home,I;m going to play this in the middle of the night and we are going to dance! Thank you very much!!

  • You look stunning in the azure blue gown! And I concur, the yellow is a good color on you too. I think you are one of those people who looks fantastic in any color. Can't say I have ever been to a tailgate party with one dressed so stylish! lol

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are very complimentary. I probably would try to get away with wearing a dress somehow! lol!

  • You are simply stunning in that yellow dress! Great video and nice tribute.

  • I second the motion about the yellow dress!

  • Thanks Chuck! One small step for Chuck... I saw your new avatar. It is so cool! You look great in the classics! Pretty soon you'll be dancing around in front of the camera like the rest of us! I can see it now... demonstrating pens, shaving with antique razors, interviewing so-called "hip" young co-workers etc.

  • On the internet, nobody can see you blush!

  • You can't wait!

  • you definately can wear yellow...you look the best in that dress in my opinion.

  • Why do I listen to my mother? All those wasted yellow outfits I could have worn! lol!

  • Thanks so much for the encouragement. I think I'll febreeze it a thousand times, dry clean it and wear it out! I didn't know I could wear yellow!

  • Sorry Kate, I just heard the news about Isaac Hayes, and finally put two and two together. The blue dress was because you are blue, and you are lamenting that he is gone now. I'm sure he would have loved your good bye video to him. Very sad. He was truly great! :)

  • He was pretty cool! I always thought of him as an icon. At the end of my video, he's standing next to Jesse Jackson if you didn't notice. Here's a snipet from Wikipedia:Academy Award for Best Original Song (the first Academy Award received by an African-American in a non-acting category) and two Grammy Awards. He received a third Grammy for the album Black Moses. Thanks FrancisRidley!

  • Thanks for clipping that snipet for us. I have his greatest hits cd. Because I'm a bit slow sometimes, I didn't get the reason for the 'mood' of your video, got confused and moved on. I'll see the rest of it later before I go to sleep. I'll see you and Isaac in my dreams! :)

  • I'd say it's a colorful celebration of their lives. Traditionally, there is a parade after funerals in Key West. I think it's a southern thing.

  • Thats really interesting. That makes a lot of sense. You always have something neat and interesting to share with us. Thank you. :)

  • Excellent video,beautiful clothes.Nice tributes at the end.5 stars.

  • Thanks so much for watching that whole long video. I got into the project and then I was like, oh my gosh this song is sooooo long! Anyway, thanks for watching and your compliments!

  • Thanks CoschG! Working on getting my entire inventory up before Halloween!

  • Cool !!!

  • Didn't that Bernie Mac fellow die? I pay so little to today's pop culture that I honestly don't know for certain, but I am pretty sure that I heard that on my truck's radio.

By the way, yet another great job!

  • Sadly, he was only 50. Been a fan from the beginning. Thanks!

  • You're goregous!

Also...where does your choice of music for the videos come from?

  • I was a Dj as a part-time job in college. Since I was a small child, I would make mix tapes for my friends from any record I could find. I would always listen to interesting songs from different genres. In this particular case, I picked Isaac Hayes as a tribute. He and comedian Bernie Mac passed away over the weekend. Thanks as always for your compliments!

  • If all the world's a stage, and all the people merely players, I need to talk to central casting about a change of leading ladies for the next scene... Thanks for the tributes, too.

  • You mean I could meet Condi? The first black and female president? Woohoo! I'm down with that! I hope I can go to Russia and step on Putin with her. Then over to Venezuela, North Korea, Iran... lol! Thanks!

  • You look great in that shade of blue! Hey, no one told me there going to be a tail gate party! :( :)

  • Well, it was a great tail gate party, and the blue dress was a smash hit! Thanks FrancisRidley! Clever!
