Yeah, I think so. It complicates things a bit that Rose has looked significantly different at different points in his career, but the swing here really looks like O'Hair's.

This video has given rise to the great "is it O'Hair or is it Rose" debate. Some evidence both ways. The others are pretty clear.

The vid is pretty interesting, though, isn't it? Watching them in quick succession, you start getting a feel for the very few things that are common to all--I don't mean specific positions, etc., but more big-picture principles (plane, path, releasing from the ground up, etc.).

Yeah-he's not my favourite player. But technically his swing is spot on. For a small guy he hits it to full potential. And more importantly he is very accurate with the irons.

Rory McIlory has to be my current favourite player-so natural and LONG. He is almost perfect-if he improves on his 8-15ft holing-he will be a challenge for Tiger.

Westwood is also very impressive.

Worst looking swing-definitely Jeev Milka Singh followed by Furyk. How those guys are so good-mystery. Singh looks like

a beginner-the takeaway is for a HUGE SLICE. But he then drops it inside. And he is obviosuly very good. Just shows if you can get square at impact, anything goes. But a Donald technique is gonna help you achieve it.

Funny you should say that.  Actually, it's _accurate_ that you say that. Any top-quality teacher will tell you that the "swing slowly" thing is a complete myth, if you want to become a really good player. Rhythmic, yes; smooth in the transitions, yes (though not necessarily a pause); but slow? Nah.

--and look how upright O'Hair is there throughout the backswing, compared to the disputed player here. As a checkpoint, look when the hands are about even (vertically) with the shoulders. The camera angle at the other vid (recommended by another poster) is a bit more closed, so you get a different look there. Having said that, there definitely are some strong similarities.

Also: What another poster said about Rose holding his finish is usually true, so that's fairly strong evidence against this being Rose. On the other hand, the finish doesn't look like a lot of O'Hair's finishes, either. I think it's Gene Sarazen.

Is it me, or do you guys also hear the difference? The sound of Tiger hitting a drive is different, could be the place of which it was filmed from but having been to numerous of pro tournaments Ernie used to have the same.

If you notice, the camera isn't in the same spot, and this is possibly (probably?) a different tee. The proximity of trees or other structures to the tee box makes a huge difference in how the shot sounds. Having said that...well, yeah, his shots sound pretty damn good. Also Cabrera's and a couple of others. I'd also agree that Els has a distinctly lower-speed sound now; can't tell how much that has to do with the injury. I think he's had some nagging little swing problems for some time.
