i'm new to video and could you please tell me what you meant by 7D 60P Slowed to 24P? Did you mean you shot at 720 60P and in post processing, you used 1080 24P sequence/timeline?
Also another question... If i were to use 7D to do a video, should I shoot at 1080 30P and switch to 720 60P for the part I want to do the slow motion on? Thank you...
@valentino44646 Yes it has a microphone but if you want good audio it has a input so you can plug one in for better quality. Just got mine 2 days ago and love it. made the switch from Nikon to Canon and i cant be happier!
when i want to make slow mo's i shot 1.280 x 720 with 59,94 fps and 1/125 Shutter then i put it into an 23.976 fps timeline in premiere and adjust the speed/duration to 40% thats the correct value for slow mo with this settings. For normal speed i set the speed/duration to 250%. with activated FRAME BLEND im pretty satisfied. btw nice shot.
How does this cameras image quality hold up when viewed on a 42 or 55inch screen? I heard the bitrate is lower than standard DV, so you can't really adjust the colors much and compression is high.
Hey man I love your tutorials of the 7d!!! Only question I have is how you get the jitter out of the footage when I am shooting? How do you keep your footage looking so smooth? Also do you lose some of your frames when shooting? Thanks again bro.
Thanks! You can get dropped frames if you use a Compact Flash card that is too slow fo rthe camera. Also, it helps to use stabilized lenses while you shoot to help remove the jitters. L brackets also help quite a bit.
Yeah i was working with a 50mm 1.4 no IS...as for my CF card I have the new Photofast 533x udma cards 16gigs I think those are more than enough speed for the camera...you think it's the speed of the shutter? What shutter speeds do you usually keep it within? I'm shooting 24fps 1080p footage and 60fps for slow down.
Well I bought 2 photofast 16gig 533x udma CF cards which should be more than enough speed. The lense I have been using is the 50mm f1.4. You think it depends on the shutter? I had it pretty fast then I changed my settings to what your other video said 125th. What shutter speeds have you noticed work the best?
there is too much interpolation on the slow motion feature...

50% slow mo?
kubawHD 2 years ago
Ok, let's do some basic math.
60/24=2.5
Two and a half times slower.
So that means 250% slower
beatsiz 2 years ago
Technically 50% slow mo means twice the speed.
100% slow mo means half speed.
Wow, I think I just confused myself...
For all I care, it's 2.5 times slower.

@fourth1000 bitrate lower than dv? no way...
dv holds up to 25mbps... solid state holds up to whatever the camera gives...
and 7d must be around 50mbps... not sure... anyone knows?
surely higher than hdv...

I can't believe you attach the poor excuse of a 18-55 lens on the godly canon 7d. Good quality on the video though. Got any zoom lens or primes?

Question... what's the sensor size on this camera compared to other camcorders. 1/3 size? 2/3? Or is it totally different from any of those.
Wait! One more question... are you going to place your anamorphic lense on your new 7D? Thanks!
fourth1000 2 years ago
The sensor is much larger than even a 2/3 chip. It's almost 50% bigger than a 4/3 sensor.
Yes, we are going to put the anamorphic lens on this camera. We have a Iscorama 50mm coming next week.

Oops, sorry, disregard that last question. I was thinking of AkiraWings video.
