@blastershot $100 for the mufflers and I can't remember how much the muffler shop charged for piping. I think the total with everything was around $300
@atomicfart3514 I never had any trouble with them. The Catalytic converter was still in place and they weren't that loud. There aren't vehicle inspection in my state either
4200$ damn. yea I am worried about that though. I am already expecting for the worse. I already started saving up for when it happens i should be ready with some money to pay for that shit.
Its a custom setup. I bought some mufflers on Ebay, had custom piping made, this is the result. The way you get the sound is by running 2.5" piping off the cat, then splitting the exhaust to 2.25" piping. The Ventrilli effect makes the exhaust flow faster and with a deeper sound
nice!!! so have you sold the car yet?? I have a 98 ex v6 and i did thorough research about these particular models. all the v6 models from 98 to 2002 have crappy transmissions!!! and they usually break after 100000 miles or so. i am at 108000. but regardless of that. thats pretty cool what you did with the exhaust system!!
I just sold the exhaust... the cars still for sale. But I've looked into junkyard trannies for about $800.... and Honda wants $4200 or so for their transmission. My tranny went at 160,000
yea, ive got 156k miles on mine, havnt missed a beat, so just telling you make sure were you research is legit, and tranny life depends on conditions, were yo live, how much you drive on god roads...etc etc. but yea man that was a great noise im thinking about HKS for mine
I looked into this a lil more in depth, its most common on 2000 and 2001 V6 models... They did extend the warranty out to 150,000 miles a few years ago. I'm not sure if it is still good.
@biggametizo That's true, i have a 01 coupe, transmission was replaced at 11,000 under the warranty, and now the current transmission is dying, at 148,000. They do have terrible, terrible transmissions.
@tillasly Don't attack my driving abilities or how I take care of my car, I agree most people don't know how to keep up on the maintenance or drive it how it should be, but not everyone, i take care of my car and drive it how it should be driven, plus the transmissions in these cars were recalled, you must've just gotten a good one.
Did they remove the reasonator??

just change the trans fluid more frequently in accords...and be a bit more gentle when changing from P to RN or D and itll be fine..
