  • If you turn the captionthing on while he's just playing, it says " the god sue hand man tennis and milan hand garwood this being a of". Nice.

  • play the friggin thing will u

  • Guy Fieri!

  • Even though it's good for anything I will still hate people that are going to play metal on it.

  • its paul from tekken

  • @tonyhq1992

it's hard to take this guy seriously

  • copy.copy!!he is not a bs and never been!!!(as he hope)

  • lol johnny bravo

  • This dude looks like shit.

  • @Macsk8ing And can play the guitar very fucking well. Now go die in a fire, wanker.

  • @mightyboosh4895 Are you a stupid ass britain?

  • @Macsk8ing Well sir, you clearly are very stupid in that you left that sentence open without a subordinate noun on the end. You said 'Are you a stupid ass britain?" Now, firstly, Britain begins with a capital as it is a name. Names of people, countries, days of the week etc always begin with a capital. Also, Britain is the joint nations of Engand, Scotland and Wales. So effectively, you called me a stupid ass conjoinment of nations under the crown. You sir, are a stupid ass cunt.

  • @mightyboosh4895 All right little einstein I don't give a shit about that nations and royalti shit, Britain also means a person from england idiot, don't try to be smart.

  • @Macsk8ing I believe it's spelled Briton. ;)

    Retard.

  • @mightyboosh4895 Your mother's penetrated ass.

  • @Macsk8ing That isn't really relevant to what we were saying is it, sir? And you also put an apostrophe in mother and you didn't need to. Why don't you get an education?

  • @mightyboosh4895 Hahaha you're funny man, I'm not a sir, and you try to act like a teacher.

  • @Macsk8ing Is it because I'm educated, therefor can speak properly?

  • @mightyboosh4895 You're just a fagg kid. I don't know anyone from 16 to 21 that speaks like that.

  • @Macsk8ing I'm not between that age range you silly bean.

  • @mightyboosh4895 Well I am :)

  • @Macsk8ing Cool story bro.

  • I played that in a store once an absolutly fell in love. I can afford it now. hopefully its still there.

  • why does the Brian Setzer Signature model have a capacitor switsch if Brian always takes it out when playing. Fail

  • @Kraeezeu Because his original guitar had one. His new Hot Rod series doesn't have the "mud" switch.

  • sounds nice, but not my kind of guitar :/

  • kool

  • I just gotta say, your hair is awesome!!! And u have a lot of gretschs could you mail me one haha?

  • nice hair dude!!

  • Cool Guitar..it goes great with my marshall stack with an old Sunn Spectrum ll head..great stuff.

  • holy fucking shit this man must suck dick

  • What happened to your hair

  • This was a great review. Nice playing as well!

  • I think all the outfit and how does he plays and tries to comunicate his knowlege is great!

  • Does this guy do any rockabilly guitar sounding licks at all? Just all sounds modern style to me? Not so good if you trying to sell us on a rockabilly guitar!!!!!

  • do gretsch do any like wood finish on their guitars?

like really worn down and natural instead of shiny ?

  • Nice flat top dude haha

  • Excellent video as always! Most enjoyed! Cheers!

  • here is a neg comment

it is a very expensive gtr,

    ...but sweet and warm sound

  • Nice.

    This guy knows his shit.

But Im a little suspicious that there was not a single negative comment about the guitar which makes it feel like a product placement type setup rather than a fair review.

  • One negative aspect would be that guys MEGA FLAT TOP.

  • Jason. Your demos are awsome. Beautiful playing on this magnificent guitar. A real pleasure tuning in... Hey,

    your shirt is great too..................

  • lol

  • I really love the guitar, but its about 3,000 euro so a bit too much for me atm.

Is it possible to make some review about a guitar like this in the price class from max 1000-1300 euro? or maybe somethin from the jackson V serie? would be awesome:D

    thnx greets

    oskar

  • Keep them coming Jason, love your reviews and playing dude. Peace.

  • Neck = warmth...gorgeous on a Gretch HoBo...begging for those those mellow jazz chords.

  • love this guys playing, so relaxing and easy on the ears. The guitar looks great too!

  • I wanna get my hair like that

  • I really enjoyed that nice one. But can someone tell me how does a guitar age well? What changes in them? Is it the pickups? Do you need to regularly play it for it to age well or can you put it in storage?

  • The more you play it, the more comfortable, and less artificial the neck feels to you. You can't just put it in storage that would just keep it in the condition it is in.

  • yeah i can see that with my old MIJ squier cheers

  • i guess its the same as an acoustic, the more you play it, the better it sounds!

  • phwar, how the fuck do you even get your hair like that? must take long.

  • Got2B gel, man. Holds up a building in a San Francisco earthquake!

  • Excellent tones!

  • He is heping the bold eagle giving them a place to nest, very nice guitar playing

  • i need some nut lube

  • read that back and think how wrong that would sound to someone who didn't know what you meant

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA XD

  • what messed up hair.

  • metal? lol jk xD

    nice filtertronish jangly sound :P

  • great vid.. great Gretsch.. how about showing the powertrons in the 125th Annies?? ( yeah.. thats mine....LOL )

  • that was my guitar, in the future :)

  • one of these will soon be mine :D

  • i would like to see some metal on here being played then.

  • You're the bomb Jason !!!!!

Always great lessons, totally agreeing with Munonsote.

I'm dreaming to own one of these Brian Setser models one day.

Happy with my Electromatic 5029 right now though :-)

Keep it up !!!! The lessons.. and you hair too :D

  • He just rocks...He's the one. I'm susbribed to this chanel because I love him. I'm always looking forward to see something new from his hairy brain...

  • Hey leave his hair alone. Someday he may be bald. OOPS! sorry Dave.

  • Thanks for the video.

  • haha.. The funny thing is, that you are probably "crazy" looking, AND you cant play like clapton.. :D Have a nice day :D

  • wow mental hair

  • lol how did I know that u liked Brian Setzer

  • Let the man dress like he wants to -.-"

It's his own choice.. and what do looks have to do with guitarplayingskill? :S

    Grow up..

  • Have you ever notice that people with "crazy" looking, always have no guitarplayingskills? Because he wants to compensate his defeats. Take a look at Eric Clapton, he appears like a simple man, t-shirts and jeans, and God! Derek plays a lot, man! Even musician out of the style stops to hear Eric Clapton playing. Because he studied, practice and never wanted to foolish nobody. You do grow up young faggot!

  • Have you watched any of his videos?

  • Yep. But not looking at screen. Capice?

  • That's just not true..

There are a lot of alternative or gothic dressed people here on youtube with amazing guitarplaying skill..

So what you are actuactly are saying is that everyone who is dressed up different than the rest sucks at guitarplaying..

Have fun in your own little minded own world :S because dressing up has nothing to do with who you are :S it's a part of you but it does not make you..

The stuff you do and experience that's what makes you be who you are..

  • lol but you can style yourself like you want and in the end it's your personality. because it does not easy happen. you can chose the way you wonna look...

  • So if everyone would be naked everyone would be without a personality?

No, you have a certain personality and you go and look for a style which you think fits it, or fits you.

Ofcourse there's times that the clothes match a certain image you've got of a person because of the clothing.

But you should never judge someone on it, because it's all about the person underneath the clothes.

  • Oh, come on, Joostbeers!

Get out of wardrobe! Show you real personnality. As we say here in Brazil: Solta a franga! Release the chicken you have inside! Cause your cloth is the label of your image and that guy wants to tell fairy tales, genius stories, hocus pocus, etc. Please, gimme a break!

  • Wish I had one!

  • No dudes - metal is not the genre for this axe - the PUs have nowhere near enough gain, and the feedback will destroy you. Everything squeals at high volume - the PU coils... the hollow body - it's unworkable. I tried playing loud R&R on a country gentleman- had to dip the pickups, stuff the body full of cotton and tape the F-holes. Not worth it. Get yerself an Ibanez 7-string solidbody and thrash away. Hollowbody guitars are a sweet change of pace - but not for metal.

  • Awesome Jason - a lot brighter and better defined than a Gibson-y archtop... but with enough bottom end so your bass/walking bass comes through. Plus it's Gretch - that's a kewl factor IMO

  • Nice.......

  • Great lick at 6:00

Thanks for posting this, I like your reviews!

  • Iv'e always wanted a hollowbody.

  • The guy should have said rock too tho, I think it could achieve some early rock. Brian Setzer has an early rock n roll guitar sound

  • it would actaully sound pretty unique :P

  • i bet you could play metal on it your just gonna look like a dork but it sounds really cool for like country and jazz

  • If I had about $3k to spare, I would consider that sweet guitar. But that just ain't the case :)

  • Is it good for death-metal?

  • lol, you could try to use it for death metal. I don't think I've ever heard twangy death metal before.

  • Sure, but will your bandmates respect you for using it? Probably not

  • I dont think so haha if you want a guitar for death you may get a Bc Rich or Jackson, maybe Ibanez or Dean Guitars also Kramer check it al

  • bc rich sucks man

  • My hotted up telecaster is better than a BC Rich for death... Granted the pickups aren't stock but seriously the only thing metal about a Bc is it pretentious shape.

  • maybe youre talking about low-mid end B.c. rich, because high end B.c's are great sounding instruments for sure, everything without they self-branded pickups can do it pretty well

  • anything? i dont think it can do METAL :P

  • Metal isn't everything good about music! :D

  • I played metal on an acoustic with a piezo in it once. Sounded pretty cool, feedback like a motherfucker though, lol.

  • LOL

  • actually, it does metal pretty well...the bridge pick on that guitar is very twanggy and hot...

  • are those pickups Classics, Filtertrons, or Supertrons?

  • plz tell me dats a wig

  • Awsome guitar Bart Simpson!

  • Man, everytime with the hair! Yes, it's different. He's a rocker and it's part of the show. So get all your "Johnny Bravo" comments out of your system and check out the awesome guitar and some slick playing.

  • dude ive seen this guy working at guitarcenter in san marcos california

  • I think your right. I've seen him there too the first time I was in there!

  • i be this guy need an hour a day just to do his hair like that :/

  • this guy is so baked

  • Excellent video and information as always! Glad Jason say's it's great, as I've have the Green Tiger flame model. Best guitar I've ever had, in 30 odd yrs of playing! Luv your video's! Cheers!

  • In case anyone was wondering: Brian Setzer used to play the Country Gentleman model from Gretsch which is Chet Atkins' signature model.

  • AWESOME! But seriously, get a haircut xD

  • Damn I envy you Jason.Such an amazingly attractive looking and sounding guitar.

  • Nice fiddle!

  • 5 minutes and no playing...

  • Death metal???

  • tweak it right and set the amp correctly and it may pass for a metal guitar....

  • @Mo7Vsta

Death metal isn't music so no :P

  • @Mo7Vsta

Death Metal isn't music, and it definitely isn't music if you are playing a gretch

  • I can't believe he's serious with his crazy stoner hair...

  • I agree theres at least 50 comments about that on every video of his, I think he just does it for atention I bet.

  • anything?? how about metal? :D:D:D

  • HAIRHAIRHAIRHAIR

    Sorry, I just had to.

  • really cool vid, and also really cool guitar :P

  • Nice guitar
