i know this is probably a dumb question, but do u use sinkers with a crankbait or does this bait provide the wait? (if that makes since)

no you if you want it to sink then buy a sinking crankbait if you don't then you buy a floating crankbait. no sinker required.

@woodtothechuck how about if I use a floating one, but add a little bit weight with a small sinker about 20cm away from the lure. so does it creat something like just below the water? or using a crankbait with small lip will have the same effect?

@Marshallma A small liped crankbait do the job in most cases. As for putting the sinker in front of the floater, I don't know, just get out there and start experimenting and see what works for you.

LOL! I like how this comment got a -1instead of an answer. Apparently asking how to become a better fisherman is bad.

I don't fully know how to tell the difference yet, but you should just set the hook if anything feels suspicious. Better to swing and miss or maybe get a fish rather than not swing at all. Eventually through experience you'll learn the difference and how to feel your way around. Learn from every fish you catch!

Well you see if you bang a tree or rock it just hits and bumps over top of it " hopefully it doesn`t snag" but if a fish hits it there will be a weight on the end of your line "called a fish" most likely it will actually pull back as you try to reel in" hense fish" now if your lucky you will actually catch a glimpse of said fish,but dont get your hopes up you have to have intelligence to do that ,and last but not least you might even get to personally land it,meaning you take it out of the water
