Having spent 14yrs as a welsh guard i think im pretty much qualified to put so some of you right. There are 5 regiments and 2 mounted regiments in The household division. Not all are on what we call public duties at the same time. Since 1989 I've had 3tours of northern Ireland, Angola , Bosnia, Iraq and my regiment lost 7 during its 1st tour of Afghanistan. People always thought you could teach children by beating them. Here in the 60s people were already widely convinced it did not work as such. It took 20 years to outlaw it and barely so.
