When i try to burn the movie i have onto a dvd it comes up as 4.72 gb (inception) and when i try to burn another movie (source code) its fine because its around 3 gb. This doesn't make sense because both movies are about the same size on my mac.

you have to convert .avi files to .mov files for this to work. the best way i've found is to open the .avi in quicktime pro and save file as .mov. it converts it. .Avi files will either play audio or video in iDVD...not both. then import the .mov file instead of the .avi file.

Just finished burning the DVD but it's only worked on my computer so far.

I've only had a chance to try it on one DVD player and it said "No Disc." Hopefully it'll work on my xbox, though, or other DVD players whenever I get a chance to try.

@sxephlI sorry for the late reply but if you're still interested, the time it takes to burn varies from how long the movie is to the quality that you want the video to come out to and also how fast your processor is. you can play it on most dvd's and on xbox's too but it depends on what type of cd's you burn the movies on.

@sxephlI As long as the total length time under quality bar isn't red, then it should work. if it's still red then it's most likely because the movie is too long or the only the file isn't compatible like .avi. If the movie is too long then you have to use a different burning sofware and if the file isn't compatible then try switching it to .mov or .m4v. If you have any other questions let me know.
