No, she played on Kubelik's del Gesu, not stradivarius. She used to play a stradivarius which her family bought for her but then changed to the Kubelik Guarnerius del Gesu of 1735 in 1972. Galamian recommended the violin to her when Rabin died. But then in 1980, she got the ex-Rode del Gesu as she said she needed a louder instrument.
I use google and newsbank which is a news resource that my school pays for to search her up. for google, you must search for specific things like kyung wha chung violin or kyung wha chung guarnerius or kyung wha chung brahms etc. haha. but sorry, i red she got her ex-Rode late 90s not 1980.
She plays beautifully. I love this piece and can listen to it 10 times a day but Heifetz's version will always be my favorite. I cannot find Milstein, Menuhin or Oistrakh playing Introduction et Rondo but would love to have it if anyone can upload one.
thats her Kubelik stradivarius violin which she once played in her early career days
