  • that awkward moment when one of the top comments is responding to the other

  • tarzan has the best songs evers

  • Tarzan had the best songs from any Disney movie in my opinion.

  • @Taylor2Awesome probly because theyre so original... and phil Collins is the perfect one to do the tarzan song!!!

  • This song reminds me of Aang's journey in avatar

  • Son of Man look to the sky, lift your spirit, set it free, someday you'll walk tall with pride son of man a man in time you'll be.

My translations: Human beings look to the light. Find yourself and follow your heart you'll walk with confidence and unity. Humans make the Past and you will make history come true.

It is not 100% accurate it is just what I think it means.

  • Your never too old for a childhood memory, and this is simply that, so stop saying you age and you still like disney or Barbie or even Barney. It doesn't matter if your 1 or 100 years old it will stick forever

  • @MegaSupergirl45 what if im a 15 year old guy and i started liking My Little pony a month ago....?

your right, i have no reason to be ashamed for liking my little pony

  • @2:24 doesn't it sound like they're chanting "Cool Whip"? :D

  • @Natedogg18wwe i always thought that too!! lol :P

  • *tricks snake* troll face *snap snap snap*

  • I am 32yrs and will always love Disney movies especially the music. Even when I'm old and gray I will love them. This is one of many many favorites!

  • This video is posted on my birthday!

  • thumbs up if you can know exactly whats happening in the movie at each part of the song!

  • phil collins is a musical genius

  • God this is amazing. Though i kind of wish growing up was as bad ass as these songs make it seem... But regardless incredible song. From an amazing era.

  • i listen to this when i am driving

    OHH...man ...

i have to go to some place now....BYE

  • I saw Tarzan for the first time in years, and my first thought was(inside joke; my cousin was once called this because of his dredlocks and tattoos): "And there's the dirty hippee in his natural habitat."

    I love the Tarzan songs!!! They're so...epic.

  • thumbs up if your thinking of tarzan's epic tree surfing skills when you here this song

  • who else thinks of Sealand(Peter) and England(Arthur) when hearing this?

  • im the son of batman

  • Every time I hear this song I get a mental image of Kerchak's epic stroll through the jungle.

  • @damashi2 lol, your joke just made my day! :D

  • Doesn't matter how old you are when you will always love Disney movies~

  • I'm 16 and I still love this song... I have lived with tarzan... I remember that when I was a kid I enjoyed playing as tarzan in my dreams! :D

  • "Cool-whip, hell no, cool-whip, hell no!" THAT'S what I used to hear :)

  • i could swear the lyrics were "it's you who reeks of pee!" at 0:35

  • Disney doesn't do them like they used to:( this is one of the best songs ever! Phil Collins did really well in this movie.

  • I have been depressing myself over my grades for two hours. It was just fiery tears. I pulled out a knife, so tempted to feel something real. And I shoved it away, and put up this song instead. I'm 14 years old, and this is one of my favorite songs. I don't listen to rap and songs by Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and the other trash out these days. I love what Disney bore into the soul of my childhood. I will never forget what this song can do for me.

  • @talentedtabi I always turned to the movies and songs growing up. The Knife's got nothing on Disney!!

  • @everlastingdooms I never really knew Disney for its beauty since I was too young then. Too bad there's nothing to help someone tempted when they see a knife.

  • @talentedtabi There is always something to help when the knife calls.. I should know... I'm an ex cutter sadly.. I found something that gave me the same effects and I can show it off with pride

  • @everlastingdooms Yeah, I can believe that now, but its still hard sometimes. I did it only once, duh its nothing to brag about. It was only once, but it's such a messed up idea that it still scares me. Because after it, every time I got pissed or anything weeks and months (and still) after, that's all I thought about. I came close to breaking my vow, I brushed the knife against my skin, but I stopped. Just somehow, brought back. Then I turned to this song, because I'll get there on my own time.

  • Seems like stating your age is the new up and coming thing. I'm 18, I like long walks on the beach and my hobbies include reading novels and occasionally listening to a lot of Disney OSTs on YouTube.

  • 2012 and still listenin to this o yea

  • 2012 and still listenin to this o yea

  • disney song's bring back a lot of memorys

  • Lol, 15? I'm 23 and i'm still here loving this song... Oops?

  • This song will never let me fail. Because failure will feel like a lesson learned. I thought I had grown up, but I'm proud to say I've got a lot more to learn.

  • Before i heard this song I always doubted myself.. Now that Phil Collins changed my life I feel like I can fallow my dreams now!! Thank u!

  • Phil Collins is verry Good

  • 22jayq: WTF u talking about dude?? Ha

  • @Sgpride73 he's talking about the movie...awks

  • In the book the film was based off of, Kerchak was the one who murdered Tarzan's parents, not Sabor.

  • @22jeyq kerchak didn't killed tarzan parent sabor killed tarzan parent u idiot!!!u didn't watch tarzan huh?! answer back

  • Comment removed

  • @magiceng1 his talking about the original Tarzan of the apes where kerchak killed Tarzan's parents and sabor was a lioness in the original

  • @shade1097 original one hmmm in the book-.-u but this tarzan a disney one sabor murder taran parents-.-

  • @magiceng1 Taran is from the Black Cauldron! It's spelled T-a-r-z-a-n.

  • Love this song!

  • I LOVE TARZAN, I LOVE THIS SONG ♥ i'm italian :) and this song in the italian version of tarzan is in italian too.... so beautiful :)

  • happy new years :D

  • @SnzGirlxx While I absolutely agree with that, Tarzan was made in 1999, looooong after Walt Disney had already died. So that comment, on this particular video, is a little misplaced.

  • Oh thank you for shairing it..that's nice

  • Love this movie, its MEGA BOSSARU

  • @SnzGirlxx It's so sad how the new owners are ruining it :(

  • okay okay .. its not sexist... stop harassing me!!! lmao

but u all are right... its a great song

  • When you watched this scene in Tarzan, did any of you wanted a pet gorrila and a pet elephant? Cause I surely did (:

  • @khanita1995 OMG YESS!!!

  • such an uplifting song love phil collins!

  • @SnzGirlxx

  • I sang in my School Assembly with my friends it was soooo good

  • walto was my closest friend ;(

  • my mum saw Hannah Montana on TV today and all she did was stare and say 'I thought this was Disney'. I just thought that one sentence said way more about what Disney has become than anything else could.

  • @fflluuffyyllaammaa

totally agree... now they are ruining the looks of vampires

  • @1234poet i know what you mean my brothers have nicknamed any vampire character as 'gay vampires in leather jackets' and i actually have to agree with them that that is what the majority of vamps are now portrayed as.

  • @fflluuffyyllaammaa

im gonna guess u've read Bram Stoker's original masterpiece? if not, do read it and then you'll see how much more you hate today's hollywood idiots

  • @SnzGirlxx Walt Disney wasn't even alive when this movie was made. Just sayin'...

  • this song is a little sexist but it really gives you reason to be human... kind of motivates you to reach for the skies... make the impossible possible...

    REALLY GREAT SONG!!!

anyone like Jack Sparrow? what his last line in Curse of the Black Pearl?

    "Now... Bring me that horizon

  • @1234poet sexist how?

  • @1234poet Son of Man as opposed to Son of Gorilla. The song isn't sexist.

  • @1234poet What's sexist about it? The lyrics "son of man" as opposed to "son of human"? Well, the latter doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? Besides, the term "man" can, and in this case is, gender neutral.

  • is it my imagination or does phil collins have a lisp?

  • @SnzGirlxx Walt Disney died a long time ago, long before Tarzan and everything else in the eighties and nineties.

But I understand that we really need some better movies coming out of the Mouse House now a days.

  • i cant listen to this song and just sit there. its my jam!! i hav to dance nd sing along to it! <3 u Phil Collins!

  • @Annabug7productions you are right lol i am just a kid and really feel that these movies have a nice story and meaning, i was born when this came out and since i was a baby i loved this movie for ever! :) i wish they do stuff like this again

  • When I have kids, they won't be watching crap like Wizards of Waverly Place the movie and teen drama. They'll be watching Tarzan, Bambi, Lion King, and all those other meaningful awesome movies us 90's kids watched!

  • @Annabug7productionz im gonna show them the lion king if i have kids 2! i was born the year it came out: 1994!!!!!!! :D

  • @Annabug7productionz and they will be the luckiest kids of their generation

  • Comment removed

  • @Annabug7productionz dont forget the land before time ok that one was another one of the somehow not so popular but still amazing movies that have been forgotten TT^TT

  • @kotarou021 the land before time movies were and still are epic films well till the 9th one then it kinda went down hill a bit

  • @Annabug7productionz so true. what happened with the old classics we gre up with?

  • good god to hell with the modern...techno shit of a song where all you hear are exactly the same words and redundant words where you wont see any meaning at all. LONG LIVE THE 90's.

  • that was one of my fav scenes in the film! :) haha I was sooo in love with tarzan xD

  • @MsMissyQ This song's montage was one of my favorite scenes, too. Do you imagine the bonking sounds of the stork pulling Tarzan's head into the branch like I do?

  • @alexahand123 what?

  • I don't like how kurchak (is that how you spell it?) treated Tarzan so badly just cause he was human, we are all sons (and daughters) of man! This is what Disney is, life lessons on how to accept each other for who we are! YEAH!!!!

  • phil collins is the most amerian sounding singer ever!

  • i love that song

  • @mercury452 Pixar didn't come from Disney. Steve jobs owned pixar but sold it to Disney a few years ago

  • How come this hasn't been liked or disliked yet?

  • Disney Renaissance forever!

  • my fav disney movie of all time besides Lion King nd Mulan. Phil Collins made this film come 2 life. luv this song

  • I like how the two top comments are the EXACT same, but the point is still true, although when reading them I thought there was a kick ass kingdom hearts game coming out...

  • There will always be dreamers and philosophers... That's a writer's job. But I don't understand why people spend their time complaining about how companies like Disney have gone downhill without actually trying to make it better. Guys, listen up: You try being a writer sometime. If you don't have the time to try it out for yourself, then you shouldn't have the time to complain about it.

  • @ThePlatypusAgent Amen to that. It's so lame when ppl complain and they dont try to make any kind of positive attempt themselves. If they want change. It cant come from copying and pasting.

  • Oh .. You guys wanted to run around the globe doing stuff eh .. That's quite an imaginative childhood you guys had .. Accept the present guys .. The world is crashing down because of greedy people and bringing along all the good stuff with them .. ( Sigh .. )

  • @Chris951021 Lol,what a boring way to look at life. The world is a out of control yes,but in one way or another it has always been unruly. Its not crashing b/c of greedy people, every generation goes through their painful phase. its how you come out of it aand how you handle yourself during the crisis that truly matters.

  • God I hate spam. Why can't people practice what they preach, be creative, and come up with their OWN comments.

  • I appreciate this song and enjoy the noise it makes on my computer.

  • You know...Disney hasn't done that bad when it comes to movies and stuff I think, but I'm sick of the TV shows on Disney Channel! They suck!

  • Its the same Top Comments on every Disney song vid.. Is that Kinda cool? :P

  • These Songs Should Deserve More Than A Billion Views Let It Be Known To All Justin Beiber And Hannah Montanna Fans That These Artist Of The Golden Age Of Disney Should Be Remembered
