@Mrhassesweden James Last fick upp ögonen för den drivande trummisen Terry Jenkins under senare delen på 170-talet. Är ej helt säker på året, men något av de sista åren är det. Terry Jenkins spelade med James Last till 2004. Fån turnén 2006, vill jag minnas att den nye trummisen fanns på Plats, Stefan "Stoppel" Eggert från det (i Tyskland) populära rockbandet "Selig". Hur gammal Terry Jenkins är vet ja inte säkert. Till och från kan han ses uppträda på kända jazzklubbar i London.

This is precisely the kind of performance that is destroying authentic gypsy music, which only requires 3-4 musicians, no lasers or shiny dresses, no backup orchestra, pianos, brass section, and certainly no conductor. This is nothing more than an orchestral piece based on a gypsy melody, nothing else gypsy about it.

James was here in Milwaukee with his orchestra, and he was fabulous! If he retired-what ever happened to the orchestra? It would be a sin to send them home! Does anyone know??

James Last lives i Florida (Miami), and in Germany (Hamburg) He is still active with the orchestra. They did a european tour in 2006-2007. Next tour is planned to take place in 2009 (Euorupe). (Look at the James Last website for dates and places).

Of course there are some new musicians, as James Last has been active with the orchestra for more than 40 years.

I keep lots of James CD. I think I could be qualified to be one of his fans. Amongst his best CDs, I like to mention 2 CD (1) James Last plays Mozart and (2) James Last spielt Johann Strass. Never in my life did

I read from somewhere. It said there're 3 famous orchestra playing light muusic in the world. They are Mantovani, Paul Mauriat and James Last. Mantovani, no more in this world. Paul Mauriat retired few years ago. Now only James. Maybe the news is wrong.
