A place like Dubai lives on the edge constantly. As it was stated, their oil revenues are negligible and the tourism dollar can dry up quicker than you would think. All it would take is a few terrorist bombings in Dubai (and I'm surpised Al Quaeda or Taliban) haven't already set a few off - but it's probably coming one day). When the tourists stop going, Dubai's beautiful buildings will go empty and we all know what happens when people can't afford to keep up fancy buildings.
