Sonic Youth are legendary. The same goes for their contemporaries. Meat Puppets, Big Black, BUtthole Surfers, BAd Brains, Black Flag, HUsker Du. Too bad most people are still jacking off to sgt pepper and jimi hendrix. The underground 80's were just as important as the 60's.

i always have a certain amount of respect for people who have seen sonic youth live in the mid 80's. i bet there shows were so much more legendary, makes me wish they'd do a "confusion is sex" tour.

Yeah, that was just the name of the show. Some guys who called themselves "Desolation Productions" did it. The Meat Puppets and Red Kross and Psi-Com (Perry Farrell's old band) played. I was there.

I think it was just the name of this specific show...it was set up in a remote part of the desert and they handed out maps to get to the show and stuff....
