phil jackson as a coach is overrated. i agree that he is a good coach, just not a great one. He always had the best players in the game such as Jordan, Shaq and Bryant. I am not a hater, but he does not deserve 10 rings, maybe 11 this year
@SiMpLyBriLLiaNt373 sorry, your argument sucks. You presume Kobe would have developed into such a good, proven player over the years on his own. Who's to say Kobe isn't overrated and that Phil Jackson was a key part of his developing into a superstar? Sorry, but fail. Not so brilliant, my deluded wannabe.
@SiMpLyBriLLiaNt373 good point, but I guess my retort, given that this is a month after the argument and I don't really give a shit nor do you probably, would be to look at Shaq.. he joined the Heat, right? and they didn't hit the Finals.. so, it's probably a combination of both player and coach, but coach wins out based on evidence.. not to mention that phil's skillz no doubt played a role in the Lakers ACQUIRING Kobe in the first place.. cheers
@SiMpLyBriLLiaNt373 Indeed, we should agree that their greatness is mutually dependent on each other.. let us draw this long enduring chess game to closure... like Kevin Costner and his pop in the Bodyguard.
Greatest coach to ever live.
