Equality is both parties fulfill their obligations. For instance, the son be filial and the father be compassionate. Freedom is based on the reasonable limitation of one's own desires for the benefits of the group. It is not a given state of life that one is free to whatever he/she wants. It is centrally focused on wisdom, not on knowledge or info per se.
Thank you for sharing. I wonder if there are any recording and documents about the music and musical ensemble that I can find in English so that I can show to my college students. Thank you.
I am doing research on the subject to hold a similar ceremony (but not sacrifice) later this year. Most of the li-yue (ritual music) are in specific court documents, but the most accessible is the Book of Rites Score (Shijing Yuepu) recorded in the Siku Quanshu. Check with the Library of Congress or your closest major East Asian Studies library.
As a matter of fact I did, but very generally. I wouldn't tell that I personally support all his ideas, however can't make any statements based on those poor knowledge I got. Do you know the name of the "feather's plants" gerls in yellow are weaving.

I went to where Confucius was born. I hardly had time to enjoy the guided tour because of the tight schedule to return to Shanghai the same day.

Well, if people would follow any religious doctrine and wouldn't descriminate the believes of others , the world would be a better place.

Not a follower of Chinese traditions but that's just beautiful. Does anyone know what does the plant with red handle that girls keep symbolize?
