Question: would the push shot @ 2:12 be considered a foul in the U.S. today? Assuming it would in Europe, as judging from the sound, those cue ball and object ball must not have been frozen (but then, the referee is standing right next to it, with an excellent view on the proceedings).
Another fascinating details is the shot Moore plays @ 2:58 - the combination of woollier cloth and heavier balls back then makes him go for a draw instead of follow shot (note there's no safety valve either way).
