Oscars do yawn, or actually it's clearing their gills by inhaling water .

Thanx, the tank is 180Gl with a 5 foot sump.

The driftwood came through a secondhand-site from a gall in my hometown, for 25 Euro's.

It had been used for a long time in her tank, so no tannins leaching at all.

A Florida gar needs a tank with a footprint of at least 6' x 2' x 2', for a gar can turn badly due to his hard scaled body.

A tank this size will sufice for at least 3-4 years, but most likely for life, for young of the year usually do not grow to their full potential in hometanks.
