yeah I know, seems to be the general consensus from a lot of people that the intro is too long. This was my second take on filming with machinima. I think at the time I got a bit carried away. Originally I wanted to put some narration in it, and that probably would have helped. At some future time I'll re-do this and the other films as a director's cut, making this intro shorter and adding some previously cut footage.

No I dont care for the in game voice audio if that's what you mean. There are lots of other videos on Youtube that have done that - "live" footage et all. The only way I know of doing that would be to hook up a recorder into the controller mic/headset jack. Adding voices in my opinion will just set a different tone to what I want to create here. And as always I try to protect the identities of people on my film (that's why the HUD is removed or shown only when no players are displayed).

Not really. I'll just go back to previous games and try to find those "unique" moments whether it be accidents, deliberate betrayals or other cool random things that happen. But I have to admit, I have betrayed and the reactions? well it depends. Obviously people get pissed off. I get pissed myself when I'm playing seriously and someone betrays me or my team mates. But every once in awhile something amusing happens, and then it goes on film.

yeah, the reason i asked is because this reminded me of a time on social when everyone on my team quit, and so it was 1v4. The weird thing is, they never killed me. They mostly just... helped me, like, by driving me around on a mongoose (it was on Last Resort) telling me to kill their teamates. Probably the most fun matchmaking game ever.

Yeah I know, had a few other people say that as well. I got a little carried away with it and I guess I could have shortened it to make everyone happy. Seems a lot of people have short attention spans these days. hehe =) I figure I come back and add a voice over narrative which could help it but I'll need to find someone with a good voice for it.

Believe it or not, I'm not responsible for all these betrayals. (Although I have to admit, on some of the more creative ones, I did go into matchmaking and carry out the dishonerable deed). Often times when I playback a replay, I'll find some instance where a betrayal occurred.

The title "Art of Betrayal" may kind of be misleading, since this isn't a "how to" video. When I made the first film, I didn't really know how I should title it, but since I showcased various instances of "betrayals" (whether deliberate or accidental), the title stuck.

Editing these does take some time though. Getting the right sequence, timing, background music, and making the final cut. It's never perfect because when I watch it now, I still see imperfections. Unfortunately there is only so much I can fit and a lot ends up being cut out. Later, I'll probably re-do these or simply just come up with short extra's.
