Ok so I had my belly button pierced four years ago and it rejected completely, i didnt take it out, i let it fall out. If I get it repierced will it reject again? I remember it being infected for a loooong time, i would play with it sooooo much when I had gotten it done, could that be the reason why? i know everyone is different and every body reacts differently, but now knowing how to better care for it, what are the odds of it rejecting again?and if not what can i do about the nasty scar?

Heyy! :) I just took my belly piercing out exactly a week ago after almost 4 monthscuz it migrated and rejected. I just saw my piercer yesterday 'cause I got my industrial done and he said 2 weeks. It has been healing pretty nicely. The holes are both healed. There's just darkness around each one. When I feel the holes they're mainly soft. So, is 2 weeks really okay?
My belly button is a little red at the top and bottom hole. Sometimes a yellowish pus comes out of it. However, i'm worried because the skin in between the two holes is hard, either from pus or scar tissue, i'm not sure. There's also a bump above the top hole. Sometimes, but not often, blood comes out when I have difficulty getting the barbell back in. Infection?
@taylorRIOT13 No. The yellow pus is normal, its hard because it forms a "hole" of hard skin on the inside and the bump is probabaly a hypertrophic scar. I have a video called "keloids vs hypertrophic scars" that you should watch and the blood is prolly cause its not fully healed. When you change it often it irritates it.

i just got my belly button done on saturday . and just yesreday it started having some puss and it was sticking to the bottom ball. and some crust so i watched some videos and the recommened i got ebsom and take a little pinch and put it in warm water in a glass then cub it to your belly button piercing and hold it there for 10 the 15 mins. then go have a bath and move your piercing up and down and side to side to egaculate any puss and to do it once a day . and i clean the puss in the bath
@tinalancindy its fine, ive had mine for almost 6 months now and mine was like what you descbribed for the first few weeks, just clean it normally and dont take it out whatever you do :) oh and mines perfectly fine now, no problems at all!

I my piercing was swollen and hot....I didn't know what to do at the time so i left it alone until the swelling went down. Afterwards, I put vaseline around it and sprayed it with peroxide....now i have a black line in the middle of my piercing...I changed my ring back to the plastic I had at first. Will the black line go away..it does hurt at all.. it just a little irritating...

@ukiegirl444 never ever ever use alcohol on a piercing. It is the normal healing crust, it is sticky and normal. Just clean it how I describe in my cleaning videos
Table salt with irritate the piercing even more which can make ur infection worse. Your supposed to use sea salt which is the main ingredient in H2 Ocean

@star1grace1 Clean the ring. Use a 14g bellyring, NOTHING else. Using an earring will give it a bigger risk of infection. Just keep cleaning the bellyring and it should start healing up quickly.

@TheHollisterluvr Claire's sucks. Its filled with layman piercers and alcohol-based piercing aftercare products. Any saltwater spray will do. Making it yourself should be a last resort b/c you can put too much or too little salt in and also you'd have to make it every day. I use Vitamin E oil, which disinfects and keeps skin supple, for my stretches now but saltwater is best for warm weather. If you don't live near a Hot Topic try a local piercing shop. Good ones have aftercare stuff in stock.

@AlexisBeadles Use a cotton ball dipped in it and leave it on there for 5 minutes about 3 times a day, do not take it out or touch it with dirty hands.

Heyy, I've had mine done since July, the middle of it. I lost the top ball last month off my belly bar, so I had to go and get another one just for another ball on the top. @ajthecaliprincess Yeah, sounds like a hypertrophic scar. They are caused from moving it around too much and stuff. They are pretty common tho, just dont forget to clean it,

hi, I've had my piercing for 6 months now and it isn't pussing or bleeding, but the skin around the top hole sticks to the bar and i can't move it unless i soak it first. @chicoleeta It can still be healing after 6 months. It is prolly pussing only enough to make the bar sticky. Sometimes the steel barbell is heavy and presses down on the top hole. I would reccomend to change it to an acrylic one because it is less heavy.

@melldell1 If you are cleaning right like in my videos then it is just still healing. If it is really hard around the skin, painful, and pussing then its infected.

You are supposed to use sea salt. If you use table salt then it with dry it out and may cause a worst infection.

@tinalancindy its fine, ive had mine for almost 6 months now and mine was like what you descbribed for the first few weeks, just clean it normally and dont take it out whatever you do :) oh and mines perfectly fine now, no problems at all!

I my piercing was swollen and hot....I didn't know what to do at the time so i left it alone until the swelling went down. Afterwards, I put vaseline around it and sprayed it with peroxide....now i have a black line in the middle of my piercing...I changed my ring back to the plastic I had at first. Will the black line go away..it does hurt at all.. it just a little irritating...

I got my belly button pierced 4 days ago but it has gotten more red and feels a little rashy im not sure if im allergic to the bar or not, my friends who have had it done say that its just irritated because im cleaning it too often because im quite worried about getting a infection. Also the rash might have come as ive started putting savlon liquid around a larger area of my piercing not just the actual ball bits because at first there was no rash and now after using more savlon its shown.

@mexi4lyfe if the pus is yellow then its fine. It will get swollen because you take it in and out a lot. I would wait a month to change it.

@residentevilbeast....ive had my belly ring in for a while ever since november.It still bothers me now a days.Der r times were da bottom sweals up and it hurts in the inside when i move da piercing up and down.This happens on its own and idk wat else to do for this to heal.Its been so long and it still hasnt healed.What can i do?

@ukiegirl444 never ever ever use alcohol on a piercing. It is the normal healing crust, it is sticky and normal. Just clean it how I describe in my cleaning videos

Table salt with irritate the piercing even more which can make ur infection worse. Your supposed to use sea salt which is the main ingredient in H2 Ocean

Ok SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I did my piercing by myself. Mine became red two days after and a little sore. I didnt think it was infected until i saw a lil white-ish spot on the bottom of my ring. and i also need to know if i can keep an earring in my piercing because i do not want a hole as big as a belly button ring hole so please help me

@star1grace1 Clean the ring. Use a 14g bellyring, NOTHING else. Using an earring will give it a bigger risk of infection. Just keep cleaning the bellyring and it should start healing up quickly.

i just got my belly button pierced a week ago, and now its starting to turn a bit red, a LITTLE bit swollen and its oozing out pus!(not greenish yellow pus). Does that mean its infected? i cleaned out the pus and then washed it with sea salt water and my belly piercing isnt as swollen anymore, but its still oozing out pus once in a while. does that mean its infected or is that normal? :S

@TheHollisterluvr Claire's sucks. Its filled with layman piercers and alcohol-based piercing aftercare products. Any saltwater spray will do. Making it yourself should be a last resort b/c you can put too much or too little salt in and also you'd have to make it every day. I use Vitamin E oil, which disinfects and keeps skin supple, for my stretches now but saltwater is best for warm weather. If you don't live near a Hot Topic try a local piercing shop. Good ones have aftercare stuff in stock.

ok im pretty sure mine is infected based on what you said and i was wondering what kinda of soap you use to clean it in the shower. i no that it has to be antibacterial but can it have a scent to it because i was told it couldnt or it would irritate it and also i was using antibecterial soap but i didnt know you werent suposed to use hand soap and i think that is why mine is infected. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I got my belly done about a month ago and it just got infected. I was cleaning it every morning and night with dial soap, now that its infected should i just use salt water and pour it on a cloth or should i put it in a cup and leave it on? PLEASE HELP ME :(

Heyy, I've had mine done since July, the middle of it. I lost the top ball last month off my belly bar, so I had to go and get another one just for another ball on the top. I wasn' t going to remove the bar I had in. But the belly bar I had just purchased the top ball was too big! So I had to put another bar in. I put the new belly bar in, and it was okay. I thought that once I had changed it the first time that it would be fine to change it again some time later. So, I wen't on my holidays

I purchased a dangley one in spain and went and soaked it in hot water, and cleaned my belly before inserting it, It didn't hurt when I got it in. But now after I've got back. It's so sore, I can't stand the pain. It's red, and looks a bit scabby it has crusty stuff coming from both, the top and the bottom ball. I don't know why this is. When I move it really hurts, is this because it's from spain or how I changed it? :( Pls help!

@Deliciouslov2 No, its a trauma bump from moving it around a lot. Tea tree oil can be found at walgreens and it helps the bump go away.

Okkaa well i got my belly button done 3months ago an it was perfectly fine. but the did it with ah to small off ah ring so wheni had it for 2 months i tried to put the normal size in. it fit jus not all the way so i took it out an cleaned it an out the original one back in and it was fine. but in the past 2 weeks ive noticed there is a bump or blister like thing on my bottom hole. it dose not hurt or anything but im scared an dont know how to get it to go away. :(

USE SEA SALT! Half a cup of warm water and stir 1/2 tble spn of sea salt in it...then lay down with the cup over ur belly for ten mins! DONT USE TABLE SALT!!!!

hi, I've had my piercing for 6 months now and it isn't pussing or bleeding, but the skin around the top hole sticks to the bar and i can't move it unless i soak it first. Around the top hole, it hurts and is white,but i can't get any discharge out of it. I'm just wondering if this is normal or if i should see my piercer?

@chicoleeta It can still be healing after 6 months. It is prolly pussing only enough to make the bar sticky. Sometimes the steel barbell is heavy and presses down on the top hole. I would reccomend to change it to an acrylic one because it is less heavy.
