I heard a latter version, I downloaded it from somewhere that I cant recalled, it had 1404-time on my hands as title, I love that version, does anyone know what I am talking about? Trying to find that version with little luck
It's sheer bliss listening to Al Bowly with Ray Nobles Orchestra the perfect musical partnership, and the lyrics I wish song writers today could equal some of the songs of the 30's, wonderful just wonderful.
I have an early Glenn Miller version of this. This version is much lighter in style with piano use, whereas the Miller version has no singing. I like both to be honest. Al Bowlly is the cream in anyone's coffee though, easy to listen to.
Wow! What a wonderful video this is! Could somebody tell me please what Charlie Chaplin movie this was from? I bet it was Modern Times was it not? Lovely song goes beautifully with this movie clip! Thank you my friend! :)
@califgirl101 --It's from The Adventurer, one of the remarkable series of twelve comedies Chaplin made for the Mutual Film Company, they are among his finest work and also important documents in the development of cinema. This one was more slapstick than the rest. I believe it's 1917.
Great -- a thank you from Italy.
