I have Architect 5.0, when I record onto my dvd recorder and rip to PC, can I import vob files or must I convert to mpeg?

Yes, you can make your own templates. And you can use any background image or video for the background, your choice of buttons, any audio background

Start with high quality source video, never use video compressed with divx or xvid, keep the video in ntsc dv format and let DVD Architect convert it for you.

Why not use a DivX codec? I've used in the past for two of my YouTube vidoes. It seems alright. Your thoughts?

Divx codec compresses a great deal of quality of of the video. OK for viewing, not OK for editing or converting to other video formats.

Check the Divx site - they confirm this.

If you have DVD Architect pro, there are only about 5 of the themes on this site that are not in DA pro. It's easy to pick out. Any theme with a number in the name is already in DA Pro. Any theme w/o a number you don't have.
