I don't know, for me is a proof that they have NO IDEA where this story is going. In fact, this makes me think that this will end up in a pile of yadda yadda to lock people's attention to the series. In this video, suspect zero (simmon) has long hair. You can see when he turns and a long hair appears on his left side. In episode 12, when suspect 0 is revealed, it is simon, with no long hair AT ALL... This shows that the writer(s) has no idea of the ending of all this.

Personally i think it its not a hair part, its more like some kind of earring, or wear accessory. Then when i watched Revelation Zero part, it could be scruff button of his coat.

Funny thing is, in this scene, he is LONG HAIRED (you can see on the left side when suspect zero (simmon) turns. But in the episode 12, when shows simmon, he has no long hair at all. This is shows that they are building the story now and have no Idea about the ending of all this.

She said they (singular) rather than saying 'he' or 'she' because she couldn't clearly determine it was a guy or girl... although you could say it was clear it was a guy because they didn't have long hair(?) but she turns out to be a lesbian so she may be quite aware how guy-like girls can be.... so long story short... she says they because she cannot determine their gender (yet) as not to make an assumption..... and they is both plural and singular. I hope this answers your question :D
