i pray that whomever get a abortion... that they will regret it for the rest of their lives.. and the same child that they killed, it will come back again, the same baby they killed.. they just dont have no kinda heart on killing a innocent baby who didnt even ask to come here. ppl who try n to have a child can't get pregnant and ppl who can't get pregnant want babies.... how crewl can u b....omg!... how sad!
AAAAAAAAHGG where is the rest of my baby? You monster!
kidding.
I actually had vacuum extraction with my 1st and found this interesting. I really do think it hurt my baby's head though, he seemed to be in pain when they washed him after birth, and he didn't nurse well at all for a few days. His head was bruised a little bit. Still, it probably saved his life as his head was tilted and he wasn't coming on his own.
lol my nephew had the vacuum extraction also and it saved his life because his heart rate slow and skipping beats at a time because his cord was wrapped around his neck a few times
This is a bad thing to do with a baby!! i don't know what the hell doctor are thinking.... It can kills baby or be born with a mishape head,, VERY bad for baby...
@skellez83 In medical situations, patients are covered for as long as possible until it is time to examine/perform surgery on the patient. This is to preserve patient integrity. Since this video is simulating an actual birthing process, the torso was covered up to the time of the delivery.
well if u have no reason to use da vacuum then dont...i have a friend who was too sleepy fm the epi or wutever drugs so its hard for her to push so they use da vacuum to help her...
Dear Clinical 01, thank you for this presentation. Just wondering, how long has this practice been conducted for? Is there any concerns of natal damage being done if a baby may have happen to have a much too soft suture at the skull, for example a baby born a few weeks early?
James Young Simpson of Edinburgh first described the use of the vacuum to assist delivery in 1848. However, modern-day vacuums were not developed and utilized regularly until the 1950s. The literature is also supportive of performing vacuum deliveries on infants as early as 4-6 weeks earlier, but no earlier. Thank you for your comment.
Thank you for the information, as James Young Simpson could understand the need and benefit for such a device, and the purpose it would served today, with the relief and comfort it has provided for mothers in difficult situations of delivery. It's a shame to see carnlly minded swine frothing out their comment here, yet it would make wonder when the tables are turned when how they would feel if ever they kids of their own who may not survive delivery.
Obviously you know all. I couldn't possibly know as much as you. All I know is that if the Vagina stretched and recovered as easily as that stupid plastic one, there would be no need for a vacuum to assist.
Mine didn't and Im sure that having a 5pound baby didn't put excessive strain on it.
Nobody ever said it would look the same afterwords. But most womans bodies can stretch. There is no need to get all defensive. Just be thankful your baby is safe and you were capable of delivering naturally. some cannot ..
The doctor that delivered me, used forceps on my neck near my head, I've had health issues my whole life that could be related to the forceps. So beware of doctors doing this sort of thing.
is it really safe? don't think so. i'll be a mother in few weeks and i would never allow anyone to use enything like this to my baby. neither pull the head after it comes out. maybe this vacuum-something makes the birth easier, anyway i would like it to last more 10-20 minutes longer, better than hurt a baby....
that's a lie. It can cause bleeding on the brain, swelling, bruises, and a misshapen head. Plus, it's not always used only when the baby is stressed. Sometimes doctors are just impatient.
We were allowed to film up to the point where a vaccum was needed, then our OB asked for the camera to be turned off, turns out she used the vaccum 6 times, rather than the recommended 3, my child was born with swollen head, had about a inch of fluid from the vaccum and was severely cut, scarred my child's head. No wonder she asked for the camera to be turned off.
some hospitals don't allow filming of c-sections only still pictures, and with the neonatal team you must ask permission to take pictures of the baby.
Mom told me that they used this procedure on me when I was born and the vacuum broke when they tried to use it. After that, apparently I decided I wanted to finally come out. LOL.
Soooo this is informative & all, but what about getting mom up in a better position so that a vacuum isn't even needed in the first place? An instrumental extraction is NOT that gentle. This is not a very accurate depiction of what instrumental deliveries do to mothers & babies.
nice detail on the labia and clitoris almost like its meant to be a sex toy, not to mention to super soft rubber that the vagina is made of. Also i would never have my baby sucked out with a vacuum by thehead thats just stupid i think.
It's not optional to have a baby this way... it's when it's stuck or it's too little time.. and it HAS to come out quickly or actually die... so.. think again?
Not entirely true actually. Some women opt for the vacuum when they have been pushing for a long time or are tired when it comes time to push. If it's a life or death situation, almost every doctor will do a c-section. But I know many, many doctors who have opted to scare the woman into a vacuum assisted delivery when they have been taking too long in the delivery room.
