Actually, the Xbox has nothing to do with the beautiful graphics that Gears 3 features. The real reason for this is the new Unreal Engine developed by Epic Games. Now before you rant and say no consoles can run the newly developed engine because consoles currently are not compatible with DirectX11. the reason they pushed it back is because they knew about the problems gears of war 2 had so they want to make sure that if theres any problems in gears of war 3 then the have tons of time to sort out bugs,fix glitches and that sort of thing ive played the beta and it is brilliant the only real problem is that a few of the weapons are slightly annoying e.g the digger launchers blast radius is still a bit too big and the sawn off shotgun is still time consuming even with an active reload

The beta is there to help the gamer industry understand what the problems with the game are, correct, however, you are already helping the cause just by playing it, even without contributing to the forums. Lately, forums have been unreliable. All the rage-quiters and fanboys go on the forums and say something like "the pistols are overpowered". The point of the beta is for Epic to test their servers, and check the kill rates with weapons.
