the same thing happended to my in the demo (xbox version) the thing freezes when you are downloading something on the background and the xbox finish it. the game just freeze itself
right dis is a update from my last reply..........basically i went on da fifa 09 website forum an some1 posted a solution da only thing is u hav 2 play it offline, go 2 memory press X, den press Y XX LB RB XX, it shud say proformin maintanence (dis only takes 1sec) dis deletes all da saved online add on's except da different languages u can download off xbox live does still remain there. as i said u will ot b able 2 play da game online its worked 4 me!

I am sorry to say I receive this same problem every time on my Manager Mode. It is not the Xbox as I have tried all of my other games, which work to perfection. I am afraid it is a fifa error. In my situation, one manager mode works while the other freezez at 23% game load. Fifa need to bring out a patch to fix this.

Hello, try to clean up the roster and delete all the save files to get of this problem. It works 8 times of 10, and there will probably be an update but we dont have any info about this issue yet.
i speak alitle bit of english but i think oyu can understandme....can you explain me more,,,,what i can do??? ....do you think that i should take back the game to the shop?? or there are a way to repair the game????
mate, you are not the only one. i searched on google and theres thousands just like me and you. i dont think theres any ways to fix it now. maybe ea will release a patch later, who knows...
