  • Again, I love the scarf Biondi uses to protect his paulo testore. Such a small detail in such a huge effect.

  • spirit for domenico hart for fabio said Lades Neffous freejazz violinist..

  • Phenomenal group, I have many of their recordings!

  • I thought D. Scarlatti only composed keyboard music...

  • awesome !

  • complimenti!!!! geniali i vstri video!

  • There are very few absolutes on this earth- but if you listen to a scarlatti, allesandro or dominico, composition recorded by europa galante, you will be lisening to the best performance on the planet!

no other re-incarnates scarlatti. it is if he has been biblically ressurected.

yes, that is how good biondi's europa galante is. no choir of angels ever sounded so good!

  • Grande Fabio!

  • souns very like Vivaldi here

  • I've always thought that Domenico presents a sound which has elements of both the Roman and Venetian schools... sort of an amalgam of Corelli's style, with more than a hint of his father's influence, but without the depth - instead it does have that quality of showmanship that characterises Vivaldi. As soon as this movement finishes, I always expect a recitative to start, it's the perfect set up for a vocal entry, but instead there are still more instrumental movements which follow.

  • magnifique!

  • Short but sweet

  • Domenico Scarlatti is simply gorgeous!

    Musically I mean:)

  • @Viahandel06 His father, Alessandro, wasn't bad either. I had to do some of his arias in college, and I still sing them to this day.

  • @UncleTito72 I know Alessandro, great composer. And that's cool that you sing his arias. Wish I could :)

  • If you want to here italian mastery, listen to the red priest's fisrt movement of winter in the four seasons, by Fabio biondi and Europa Galante. Fabio plays a paulo testore, of such sadness of tone, offset by Biondi's incredible livliness, this is a true synergy of the proverbial yin and yang.

You have not lived nor died until you have heard Fabio's virtuosity.

  • I think it's harp (baroque harp, obviously) we hear at 0:10!

  • no it is not a harp, it is a lute it sounds like a lute

  • ah. ok thank you

  • theorbo

  • Such a grandeur.

  • Grat tempo and balance.

  • Very nicely done. I own the CD, so it was nice to get some visual feedback. Great continuo.
