  • KILL IT WITH FIRE!

  • looks like a nephila... nice..

their webs are strong enough to withstand windstorms and capture birds. pretty crazy

  • id get a gun and BOOM

  • its poisonous but not very agressive in FLORIDA I still dont recomend on picking them up

  • Yellow, maybe, but black, no. I didn't see any colours other than black/brown on that spider.

  • I think it's a giant wood spider, or 'nephila maculata' as some might say.

  • yeah, there's a lot of those spiders on the trails going down from the peak to the south side of hk island. They kind of freak me out.

  • Those spiders can surprise you in the woods because they are large handsize arachnids but in reality they are bunch of pussies when it comes to humans.

  • harmless

i live in HK there are literally hundreds of the on the way up to the ridge I hike on - big but harmless

  • look at the size of it. gives me the creeps just thinking about it jumping at ya.

  • holy shittin fuck

  • Lmao. The wind blows and its falls off its web onto the kiddies head...

  • Bionicle, I do not beleive there is any danger in putting your hand next to it. If it was venomous, it would have colors to exemplify it.

  • wow thats all im gonna say

  • ugh i got goose bumps =S

  • That's a banana spider... if it bit you, you would have died a slow and very painful death lasting up to an hour. I would suggest next time you see a creature in a place you're not familiar with, not to go waving your hand about in front of it.

  • wiki brings you to something else different than this spider if you look it up. it's not a banana spider. banana spiders are known as wandering spiders because they dont maintain webs. this one is clearly seen with one. and in hong kong (stated with vid title and description) the banana spiders are not found there. banana spiders are found in south america.

  • get your fucking hand away from that spider lol

  • EAT THE BABY!

  • are you crazy!!!!!!!!

  • I thought the wind was going to blow the spider on the camera guy.

  • lol ya me too

tht would have been hella funny

  • That thing is UGLY!

  • chineese silk spider. when i lived in alabama they where all over the place. only the ones in alabama where yellow black and white. same shape, and same size. they're ugly. i lived with them for 2 years theyd get in the house and make webs in the hallway. now i dont fear spiders. but its been ahwile since i seen one of those i person. i remember brushing my hand on a bush and brushed it right through its web! i have that spider hanginf from my hand.. theyre not dangerous. this one is male

  • crazy they got into your house?? scary!!

  • FUCK THIS WORLD!

  • yeah these things are massive, i walked right under one through its web. Freaked me out so i shot it wit my fully auto bb gun , srry fella

  • i saw something like that in shanghai but it was smaller, gray, and really furry....and 1/3 of it's body was pretty much head and fangs.

  • oh wow

  • what the hell is that??

    its amazing!!

    that's incredible!!

    boooooorrrrriiiiinnggg!

we call it spider X! here in bulacan

    haha!^_^

  • MANN EVEN THE CHiNESE SPiDERS R DAMM SMART!

  • all i got to say is those parents are the most stupidest, fucking idiots in the whole world. what the fuck are u doing; the dad or mom tries to touch it and there is a little kid around. did u ever think that the spider might have attacked u or even worse, the kid? i swear to god some people are so god dam stupid at times.

  • Ahahaha, "When spiders attack!" Seriously, spiders aren't really that dangerous...

  • Did it ever occur to you that we used a zoom lense on the video camera and the kids were 15 feet away? These spiders are very common in HK and we've seen hundreds like them in the last 12 years. I've even run right into their webs by accident when running on trails and they are quite harmless.

  • @TripletsDad

You're absolutely right - those HK golden orb weavers are harmless. Big and scary-looking, but harmless. I dodged a few when I hiked around Lamma Island with my wife and some friends. I love the comment from PKmonkey300. His communication skills have shown who is "most stupidest" on this post. :)

  • dude i live in hk and those spiders are totally harmless...

  • @PKmonkey300 They are not poisonous and do not bother humans -- still, the creep me out!

  • @PKmonkey300

Actually, there are THOUSANDS of the spiders around in Hong Kong I was there last summer, and on a 5km walk in the hills we saw around 75 of these (and those are just the ones we noticed). I'm pretty sure they're harmless but I'm not positive

  • If you look closely, at the back of it, you can find a human face on it. ^.^

  • It's slightly toxic but very unlikely to bite human beings. It is very common in HK, like Lamma Island and Sai Kung.

  • and lantau!! :)

  • i dont really mind little spiders, they catch bugs and thats good, but seriously KILL IT WITH A BAT!!!big enough to wrestle a cat. =)

  • You don't need bug spray for that but an airstrike!

  • i think i would feint and one of yall better drag me away

  • holy shit. if that thing was within 10 feet of me i'd be traumatized

  • When I was a kid I ran right into a web and my face went right through the web on a disgusting orange spider with a cross on the back :/

  • id get a blow torch and burn that fucker alive

  • I normaly just shoot big scary ass spiders with my air-rifle. saves having to shat your pants everytime you see it

  • And why? Are you all afraid of spiders or what?

  • My boyfriend has these nasty spiders at his house...and he's shot them right through the abdomen with his airsoft gun, and they're STILL ALIVE.

    SPAWN OF SATAN.

  • i dont have such things likes that but i get really fuckin nasty shit in Jersey in the summer, i once saw this huge fucking black things that made a web across my front storm door and the 2 trees, i cracked the door a tad, and fuckin started blasing the monster with my automatic airrifle. you saw holes in it, it kinda launched from the web onto the street. ROFL 450 FPS

  • i heard their water was nasty too.

  • lol one day heaps of little baby ones will come out

  • i wuld hit it with a baseball bat!!!

  • Home run!

  • lol hit sum1 in the face with the spider

nope no home run but we better run home

  • lol

  • I remember seeing spiders like this back when i lived in hong kong in the 90s, and then there were the ones with the yellow smiley faces on their back....

  • i live in hong kong.and im hungury for that.

  • I have watched a lot of spider vids on youtube and the lights were off and so on felt something on my leg i screamed even though i am a man! but it turned out to be the cable for my headphones.

  • lol thats funny

  • LOL!!!!!

  • LMAO

  • I saw loads like them when I went to China and they scared the crap out of me. Strong webs too, I threw a stick at one and it just stuck on.

  • holy hell, I would touch that thing with a ten foot pole, eh =(

  • Yeah...you've got more guts than me.

There's no way I'd get that close to that thing...and once the wind started blowing, I would have been H A U L I N G it. LOL

  • dude you think youd be fast i'd be all the way back in Jersey if i was there and the win d started blowing in 3 seconds.

  • LOL I'd be running right beside you...who gives a crap where we're going. The point is, we're not near that freakin' thing.

  • youd see me doing 1000000 mph+ backwards and then turning back and blasting the fucker with a 50 cal barett

  • i would bring in an attack chopper

  • hehe

    nuke

  • As far as I know my spiders, I'd say, I could be mistaken, but I'd say that's a Nephila

  • GIANT SPIDER V.S KING KONG

  • No offense but there is one bigger than that at my school garden. It was like one and a half of your hand. It had a thin long abdomen and it had yellow and black stripes with long legs. In the end though, my friend was cruel enough to take a long stick and smack it out of its web and it was gone. I couldn't find it after that.

  • oh good god!! thats massive... and i thought the one that was in my bath last night was big!!

  • Arghhh!... Kill it before it kills you! lmao

  • Thats an orb weaver, that is a particularly big specimen, what usually attracts peoples attention is the size of their webs, which can be over a metre in diameter!

  • stupid americans

  • fake

  • what a retard

  • i'd be scared shitless standing under it, while the wind is blowing it back and forth ._.

  • I saw spiders like that all over S Korea, way up on light poles and such. We gave each other space.

  • ese wey sta loko¨¡¡¡¡¡

  • i would fucking shoot that ugly thing, scared of them , why do they have to exsist?

  • To make sure the insect population and other species stay under control...

    duh?

  • I have these in my back yard in South Carolina. However, the first time I saw these huge spiders was in Japan where they were called banana spiders.

  • I remember Banana Spiders from my tours in Okinawa. Damn things ate small birds! But these things are not indigenous to the U.S.

  • Oops my mistake. There is one species of these in the US. N. Clavipes.

  • i live in malaysia, and work in farm, that spider can easily be found near my place.maybe you cant found them at us or European country, but that doesn't mean they fake lol!!

  • Thats a golden orb spider. they are beautiful.

  • yeh... beautiful... right under my shoe.

  • rofl i agree

  • you're a fucking poofter

  • what? you wanna turn into spiderman?

  • dumb nut who would put there hand up there retard do u wana get bit

  • did u no that it was fake it should be comming down from the its nest instead of hanging upside down

  • You're an idiot. Go learn about spiders.

  • hes stupid to put his hand and reach for it

  • IF dat spider would have fell on him

  • Que curioso que la araña no se mueva para nada. Por lo general estos animales son bastantes sensibles a las vibraciones y cambian de posicion inmediatamente.

Weno, lindo video pero le falta mas realismo pa que venda.

  • Haha peoples comments are so funny

  • lol lets eat it

  • u r very stupid to put ur hand up like that.

  • It's Nephila maculata; their silk is very strong; even small birds were caught in it.

  • dumb shit

  • omg people find stuff so unbelievable they automatically think its fake,

    without researching or anything.

if you've never left the country your in and seen the exotic animals maybe you should try it

    or are airplanes fake 2?

  • OWNED RIGHT THERE. XD

  • pause it at exact 21secs...where the fuck did it go???? is it on you?? ahhh fuck

  • its a banana spider

  • its not fake you dumb ass's

  • that SPIDER IS SOOOOOOO SCARY!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

    fake spider!!!!

  • Dude its fucking fake I hope you've all realized that.

    1. Web is fucking thick

    2. Windy and the spider isnt moving what-so-ever

  • its a golden orbweaver, and yes, they can even get bigger.

google web "golden orb weaver massive australia"

  • most spiders wont move anyway while on thier web incase prey or predators see them

  • Bigger spiders make bigger webs. The spider wasn't moving but the web was. Your skepticism doesn't make you sound smarter, it makes you sound like an ass.

  • what are you a retard? Or have you just skipped your biology class? meh, kids these days

  • Wow a little late for that comment you stupid cockbite

  • kill it its ugly die ugly cunt

  • {Shudder} I'm arachnaphobic. So I watch plenty of videos of them to get over it. I still won't go anywhere near one, though: I think it's about three years since I actually touched a spider.

  • I havent touched one for about 14 years. lol

  • OMG

  • Why do retards always want to mess with them? I trust no spider anywhere, I don't care how big they are. All spiders need to die.

  • this is a Nephila sp.

  • daym you man, that spider is scary.

  • DAMN NATURE! YOU SCARY!!

  • Yes im sure thats what it was thinking.... not this thing is 2000 times bigger than me.. hope it doesnt grab me and eat me.....

    Fucking typical dumbass uneducated human.

  • I'm sure u watch movie too much, dude.. we dont worry it eats us, we worry it bites us.. Fck off

  • that is hugE!

  • OMG KILL IT!!! FUCKING SPIDERS!!

  • They get big, but the real 'problem' is that they're very, very common in certain areas. I was walking close to Tai Tam this summer and at one point there was a new Golden Orb's web every step we took. A little unnerving.

  • Golden Orb Weaver?

Wouldn't wanna get bitten, but they aren't lethal or that bad.

  • That's not a big spider...

  • looks like a banana spider

  • Yeah thats what I thought it was. I saw some like that in Florida.

  • back in thailand i hold 1 of those in my hands. Totally harmless it's the giant wood spider

  • ppl eat those

  • i also saw one of these in thailand there massive

  • eckk...that was to big someone needed to step on that thing.....ugh i hate spiders

  • Agreed

    spiders are cool

    but i dont like them

  • ditto.

  • FUCK NO! that is TOO BIG!

what if it would have fallen off its web onto someone?

    Desert Eagle PLEASE!

  • I'd cry.

  • wow i hate spiders they creep me ought

  • im not afraid but it gives me the chills i hate spiders but im not scared shit less unless they are big and or furry thats different lol

  • Kinda looks like a Banana spider, but it has different legs.

  • wtf ahhhhhhh
