Ezra Levant is an idiot who justifies economic activities which increasing his own wealth but at the same time weakens institutions, retards economic robustness, captures regulators, undermines government, poisons landscapes and encourages politicians to exchange public policy for corporate gambling. Ezra Levant serves the industry’s desire to obscure the facts surrounding the effects of oil with his Disneyland jingles about ethics.
@sgtsnakeeyes11 Interesting that RM comments how the "free market" took care of Ezra's magazine and it went out of business; yet, he didn't comment how the CBC (funded by forced money from Canadian taxpayers) can survive!
Am I the only one seeing the hypocrisy in Rick's statement?
ezras story is very interesting, if you enjoy your freedom, you should take the time to learn it. There is an underworld to our political and legal system that rarely gets exposed, ezra exposed it, and you would think he was talking about some arab nation or cold war era communist nation, not the canada that we know today.
muslims expect freedom to build a mosque on 9/11 ground zero, they have powerful connections in the top levelof government, but can not tolerate political sattire
Whether it is someone who wants to speak out against poverty or someone who speaks about how US soldiers that have died got what they deserved, everyone has a right to say whatever they want regardless of who they offend.
If a lawmaker has certain opinions and he incorporates then in law, in constitution, then you've got a right to stop him thrugh legal means because laws affect you
On the other hand, a writer, columnist, etc - basically people w/ opinions - should not be prosecuted for their thoughts. If they advocate violence, thats a matter i don't want to go into...
