@Scoclamor That's true,but as sad as he might feel,there is no shame in losing to a guy like Federer,Fish played on equal terms for most of the match,just that it's still hard to close out Fed,that is a mental advantage he has over most players despite his obvious decline,certainly I don't expect Mardy to win the USO but this performance speaks volumes and should be a major confidence booster,and with his new found fitness could be a test for anyone.

totally disagree with stealthpakfa because I think federer is still a bit sick from the mononucleosis that he had earlier this year. It can take up to six months to heal from something like that. yeah he may say he feels 100% better but I think he us still feeling the effcts of the mono.
Fed's playing like shit! This is only a question of underestimation of his opponents. Also I don't see any kind of motivation on him (seems like he don't want to win more GS).

mardy fish took federer out of his comfort zone plus he stayed focused the whole match which led him to victory....to put it plain and simply, feder was out manned.
