AFTER I shipped them out he emails me saying, "I ordered the wrong model...sorry about that! I'm just going to refuse the delivery." I told him sorry, but I do not accept returns, as stated in my eBay ad. That motherfucker refused the packages so I was charged not only for the original shipping but the return shipping as well! $154 and Paypal backed it!

@orionsune There are plenty of scammers with 10,000+ sales. It all depends on if you give the seller 'trouble'. Like ask too many questions, or question their shipping date. To catch buyers, a seller has to have high ratings. Doing a little research (like finding that a buyer has shipped a large % of their sales in the immediate vicinity) helps. But it cannot totally protect you.

ebay have fucked up the feedback system. Why should a seller (who pays for the site) be unable to leave a negative for a bidder that fails to pay or is unable to understand what they are buying?
Great video. This happened to me just recently. A buyer won one of my items, never paid for it (also lied about sending me payment) and Ebay will not remove the "negative" feedback left by the non-paying buyer. My exposing of sellers of fake autographed memorabilia has lost Ebay a lot of money and we all know they have made a ton of money on the sales of forgeries over the years. Remember, they were released of any responsibility for sellers that sold fakes from "Operation Bullpen."

I can't tell you the number of times I've had sellers waiting for me to leave them feedback before they leave my feedback. They do this to instill fear in the buyer so they will leave positive feedback for them There's NO other reason for sellers to wait to leave the buyer feedback. Many MANY times I buy something and it's COMPLETE garbage, yet I will have no choice but to leave them positive feedback. The next buyer sees my feedback and gets scammed as well...
This problem alone justifies the change that ebay made. You sellers are only upset because you have to step up your customer service to satisfy the buyer for once, and most aren't capable of doing this. You try use the excuse... I recently found out first hand what a scam paypal is when I sold $50 worth of legos. The buyer paid through paypal but the funds are frozen until the buyer A. recieves item (I had to ship at my own expense) and B. leaves positive feedback. If the buyer decides not to leave feedback or forgets I can't get my money for 21 days and if the buyer decides he doesn't like the item they can request a refund and paypal will return all money to them and the buyer doesn't even need to return the item. BS!

I listed my car on ebay and the fees came to like $70.00. I received some bids, then all of a sudden this idiot clicks BUY IT NOW with 0 feedback and never pays for it. I dispute it, and told customer service which took them almost four days to respond and was no help at all. Now instead of $70.00 I owe $64.00 and I didn't sell the car on this freakin site. This happened before and I never thought it would happen again, I'm done with MEPAY.

Ebay is harboring resentment among sellers & buyers. Powerseller phone # is a bunch of ignorant asses that read off index cards. I have several accounts I use when I get a slacker that comes in & tells me how to run my business~if they sell, they should beware of me. I would never have considered this a year ago, but ebay doesn't give a shit about the sellers. I have to police my reputation on my own finding loopholes cuz I can't count on ebay to ever do the "right" thing.

With all these changes (including the recent announced fee changes), all I can say is there are other options - this being my one of choice - eBid. No listing fee's, a very small final value fee, and a good feedback system.

Right on brother. I just had begun. One guy, out of my apt. in Gloucester Massachusetts. I kept selling until, after five years on board, I got my first ever non paying bidder. I withdrew everything. Now I'm going back on, and listing all fees and charges, which are to be eaten by the buyers, including final value fee. If they want my stuff they've got to pay the extortion, not me. As to my %, I no longer care and it no longer makes any difference anyway. It is an empty statistic.

I don't know what you mean by "the buyers don't pay fees": the fees buyers pay are reflected in the sellers' prices! And yes, I too have gotten ripped off by a seller, left negative feedback, only to have unwarranted retaliatory feedback left for me. I also have suspected shill bidders when purchasing something. EBay is just a flawed system: when one can easily find ways around controls for such things the system is just plain flawed.
I've listened and read quite a few cases put forward from sellers, it does indeed sound like these changes are killing selling on ebay, however, as per my previous comment the system does indeed need an overhaul, the vast majority of buyers (myself included) did not leave negative feedback even when deserved for fear of retaliatory negative feedback.
I think the feedback system was poor, I'm not saying the changes they made were ideal, but many sellers were taking advantage of buyers too easily. I myself bought something advertised as "new", when it arrived it was obviously second hand (filthy and badly scratched) when I left negative feedback the seller then left me negative feedback, I fulfilled all of my buyer responsibilites and yet I got a negative feedback rating?
The end result was that I never left negative feedback ever again.

IF ebay ever padded or falsified any listing with fake bids, that would invalidate all auctions as to being a binnding contract!
How would any seller know if a bid was legit or some ebay fraud bid? This breech would emcompass all auctions for bad credibility on ebay's part, and all sellers could suspect fake FB, bids, etc. and thus not be held liable to the TOS. Think about it! Something they would not want known.

why not put a daily bidding limit on people with low feedback. like if ou have 0-5 you can only bid on say 1 item every day or so, and until you reach 10, you will get immediately suspended if you do not pay for an item. ebay claims it's against policy, so why are they so reluctant to dish out consequences. gah! also they shoud make it harder to re-register. i have 3 accounts, one has a false address and 2 have the same phone number and cardholder name. imagine if i was a scammer...

I just got robbed by Paypal today! This DEADBEAT loser (ebay name stkwireless) bought not one but TWO 32" flatscreen televisions from me. AFTER I shipped them out he emails me saying, "I ordered the wrong model...sorry about that! I'm just going to refuse the delivery." I told him sorry, but I do not accept returns, as stated in my eBay ad. That motherfucker refused the packages so I was charged not only for the original shipping but the return shipping as well! $154 and Paypal backed it!

@orionsune There are plenty of scammers with 10,000+ sales. It all depends on if you give the seller 'trouble'. Like ask too many questions, or question their shipping date. To catch buyers, a seller has to have high ratings. Doing a little research (like finding that a buyer has shipped a large % of their sales in the immediate vicinity) helps. But it cannot totally protect you.
Craigslist= Classified Ads online, and a hell of a lot less likely to get scammed!

A buyer won one of my items, never paid for it (also lied about sending me payment) and Ebay will not remove the "negative" feedback left by the non-paying buyer. My exposing of sellers of fake autographed memorabilia has lost Ebay a lot of money and we all know they have made a ton of money on the sales of forgeries over the years. Remember, they were released of any responsibility for sellers that sold fakes from "Operation Bullpen."

The ultamite concept of this practice was to encourage more buyers to come to ebay either as new users or returning ones. I will say it again, without buyers your eBay buisness is meaningless. I can't tell you the number of times I've had sellers waiting for me to leave them feedback before they leave my feedback. They do this to instill fear in the buyer so they will leave positive feedback for them There's NO other reason for sellers to wait to leave the buyer feedback. This problem alone justifies the change that ebay made. You sellers are only upset because you have to step up your customer service to satisfy the buyer for once, and most aren't capable of doing this. You try use the excuse... "Now people with 0 feedback can bid and not pay...". This just makes me laugh at you. How often is this going to happen to you? Under the new rules, you would still be able to file a 'non paying bidder' report and be refunded and related fees. End of story.

i like your video. im so mad at ebay right now. yesterday i put up 2 auctions. when i made another auction it now says i am restricted from selling anything because i need 4.1 stars on the 5 star feedback thing. i dont understand this because my feedback is 485 and 100 percent and im no longer allowed to put up auctions. ebay has ruined it for good sellers and dont care.

Seriously sir. I feel your pain - ebay is a greed machine and getting pretty dicey, at best its a rough neighborhood. I gotta know though, if I were to start a site to replace ebay, would you be okay with a report of your income to the fed so taxes could be asessed? Most ebayers grip about fees and then don't pay any income tax...period, state or federal. Would you consent to a credit check to verify your identity? ID only. See the fee's and feedback are not the only problems. Answer please.

i once bought gloves off ebay and they were really shit. nothing as described. so i gave the seller neg feedback. the seller also gave me neg. but what was his reason to give me neg feedback other than the fact i gave him neg feedback..
but now as a seller, im selling a phone which was bought by a 0er who hasnt paid. its shitty. but cant really be fixed to help both parties. neg feedback would be good for sellers cos they pay though

I recently found out first hand what a scam paypal is when I sold $50 worth of legos. The buyer paid through paypal but the funds are frozen until the buyer A. recieves item (I had to ship at my own expense) and B. leaves positive feedback. If the buyer decides not to leave feedback or forgets I can't get my money for 21 days and if the buyer decides he doesn't like the item they can request a refund and paypal will return all money to them and the buyer doesn't even need to return the item. BS!

I am an Ebay seller myself and I think you are making a very nobel attempt.
I don't have nearly as much feedback as you do but Ebay buyers have screwed me over to the point where I am almost considering closing my account.
It sucks...Buyers don't read the damn auction auction terms and when they screw they arent held accountable like they should be and I get negative feedback when I have to play the "bad guy" and say I won't take checks or they didnt read the terms and they screwed up

I listed my car on ebay and the fees came to like $70.00. I received some bids, then all of a sudden this idiot clicks BUY IT NOW with 0 feedback and never pays for it. I dispute it, and told customer service which took them almost four days to respond and was no help at all. Now instead of $70.00 I owe $64.00 and I didn't sell the car on this freakin site. This happened before and I never thought it would happen again, I'm done with MEPAY.

That's right,the worst part is Ebay didn't even bother to consider that sellers are the ones who pick what features to use.So while buyers are paid from the sell of items to sellers,in which then payments are made to ebay and Paypal,it is the extra stuff that is dependent upon the seller to pick.

Your right reebock it's not fair. BUT...it's ebay that is driving that behviours NOT the sellers. Sellers businesses are suffering becasue of what enbay is doing and at the end of the day they have family and kids to feed so they have to take their own measures to protect that. Its ebays job to come up with a fair system not the sellers.

Ebay is harboring resentment among sellers & buyers. Powerseller phone # is a bunch of ignorant asses that read off index cards. I have several accounts I use when I get a slacker that comes in & tells me how to run my business~if they sell, they should beware of me. I would never have considered this a year ago, but ebay doesn't give a shit about the sellers. I have to police my reputation on my own finding loopholes cuz I can't count on ebay to ever do the "right" thing.

I joined EBAY in 1999... Now it is a complete piece of shit. I don't sell anymore and if I want to buy something it's "Buy It Now" with posted shipping charges ONLY... Shill bidding killed it for me... Ebay's digusting greed was evident in the fact that they did nothing to stop the shill bidding problem... why would they? Higher priced auctions mean more profits for Ebay... no reason to stop the shill bids... My reason for leaving....

With all these changes (including the recent announced fee changes), all I can say is there are other options - this being my one of choice - eBid. No listing fee's, a very small final value fee, and a good feedback system.

What's with the 'buyer vs. seller' mentality? You don't get to shoot your customers in a brick & mortar if you don't like them. Attacking potential business is asinine. As an established Powerseller since '98, I welcome the change. Buyers are less fearful, thus we get more sales. If NPBs and scammers are harming your bottom line, YOU'RE doing something wrong. Try putting energy into decent customer service instead of this insane paranoia. (eBay is bringing back FB withdrawal anyway.)

I had a couple of seller account and after this changes I stopped all of them and selling nothing trough ebay anymore. I was selling the items sometimes less than that I bpught but ebay was still winning even I loss money!!! Because their policy protect only themselves thats all. Why do people exclusively use ebay? Why do sellers subject themselves to the abuse? Why do buyers act like ebay is the only place in town (like Walmart devotees)? Is EBAY all they know? They can do both if they want to, actually way beyond 'both', as in MANY other sites to buy and sell. Support the other sites too! Check them out, uswe them. It's seems very few carry the load for the ebay dissenters. Where did they all go? Ebay is offending more and morer sellers, and even buyers with all the disputes and crazy rules. The S&B won't get help from ebay chat, they'll get suspended. There was a growing group here on Youtube, but they not here now! Did they give up? Very few doin' a poor job of it. Many sellers look without comment, they need information. Where else can they go? OLA . COM? Where's the helpers?

Right on brother. I just had begun. One guy, out of my apt. in Gloucester Massachusetts. I kept selling until, after five years on board, I got my first ever non paying bidder. I withdrew everything. Now I'm going back on, and listing all fees and charges, which are to be eaten by the buyers, including final value fee. If they want my stuff they've got to pay the extortion, not me. As to my %, I no longer care and it no longer makes any difference anyway. It is an empty statistic.

I don't know what you mean by "the buyers don't pay fees": the fees buyers pay are reflected in the sellers' prices! And yes, I too have gotten ripped off by a seller, left negative feedback, only to have unwarranted retaliatory feedback left for me. I also have suspected shill bidders when purchasing something. EBay is just a flawed system: when one can easily find ways around controls for such things the system is just plain flawed.

I've listened and read quite a few cases put forward from sellers, it does indeed sound like these changes are killing selling on ebay, however, as per my previous comment the system does indeed need an overhaul, the vast majority of buyers (myself included) did not leave negative feedback even when deserved for fear of retaliatory negative feedback.

I think the feedback system was poor, I'm not saying the changes they made were ideal, but many sellers were taking advantage of buyers too easily. I myself bought something advertised as "new", when it arrived it was obviously second hand (filthy and badly scratched) when I left negative feedback the seller then left me negative feedback, I fulfilled all of my buyer responsibilites and yet I got a negative feedback rating?
The end result was that I never left negative feedback ever again.

IMHO:
IF ebay ever padded or falsified any listing with fake bids, that would invalidate all auctions as to being a binnding contract!
How would any seller know if a bid was legit or some ebay fraud bid? This breech would emcompass all auctions for bad credibility on ebay's part, and all sellers could suspect fake FB, bids, etc. and thus not be held liable to the TOS. Think about it! Something they would not want known.

why not put a daily bidding limit on people with low feedback. like if ou have 0-5 you can only bid on say 1 item every day or so, and until you reach 10, you will get immediately suspended if you do not pay for an item. ebay claims it's against policy, so why are they so reluctant to dish out consequences. gah! also they shoud make it harder to re-register. i have 3 accounts, one has a false address and 2 have the same phone number and cardholder name. imagine if i was a scammer...

I so hate ebay. I use to love it back in 2002 when I started, and now I hate it because they had suspended me for life. I hate ebay because they never reinstate you.. bewarned too if sellers give you item strikes. I had way to many when I canceled a lot of ebay items last year in 2007. F**K ebay for suspension me. EBAY IS NOT A CANCELIZATION SITE... not like Walmart, Toys R Us, Collector's Cache, ToyWiz, Target, etc... BEWARE. you never get reinstated... ebay does not reply.
