This is the Pat Carroll who teamed up with Olivia Newton-John after Olivia's Mom and Dad divorced and Olivia and her mom moved back to England and Olivia and Pat sang together, today they are still best of friends.
I remember as a lovely young woman, not perticularly talented as a singer, but in this song she's much worse that I thought.
Her voice is as flat as a pancake, but what can on e expect from a vocaliste that at the time of this performance would have been barely old enough to start having serious singing lessons.
Heavens to Murgatroid! Thanks for posting! Not only is Pat a lovely looking lady but her version of this classic 60's tune is pretty dang good! You've MADE my day! And HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you & yours! :)
@CodyWestLovesOlivia Well, I'm gonna take a guess that you're at least as tuneless and hopeless as her.
Thank God there's that there's only 2 minutes of this horror - and that they managed to fade it out before the band leader did the honorable thing of shooting himself through the brains.
@DorisDayFanatic She is the Real Pat Carroll, who teamed up with Olivia in the 60's and married John Farrar who wrote lots of Olivia's hits in the 70's and 80's.
No, a different Pat, she married John Farrar ex The Strangers, The Shadows -Marvin, Welch and Farrar, and he was the song writer for the film "Grease' and also Olivia Newton John's song writer and producer.
Pat Wilson had the hit She's A Bop Girl and did marry Ross.
Actually, I looked it up cuz I was so confused about something, These are two completely different women!!!
This was filimed in like 1963, she looks young and thin, in 1965 the Carol that filmed The Little Mermaid was in Cinderella and was big and older looking!!! One is a singer and one is an actress!!!
Very sweet. Though if I may venture an opinion on her career I'd rather she went on to front Jefferson Airplane or something, rather than the ultra-light stuff with ONJ.
Thank you Sally for this upload.
It's really cool to be able to look back and history and see our roots.

Hmmm. I like Pat Caroll (especially her appearances with Olivia), but her version of this sucks, compared to the original...

Pat Carroll is awesome, this song was played in the usa also, because my parents use to listen to it either that or it was played on the radio.
