I honestly think its wrong to spay and neuter animals cuz unless they say u can I think if they could control the population before this surgery came around I thinnk people can control it know.
@roblestoto.... what the heck are you talking about? i know Ethel personally and she wouldn't do such surgical procedure without anesthesia. maybe you are making these stories because you were turned down by Ethel.... such a looser scker!!! show up in public if you are telling the truth... show the world your proof... looser scker!!!
I knew Dr. Ethel Wolda Benitez did not use anesthesia while spaying because one of her student who help hold my kitten down happens to be our next door neighbor.Thank you for your sympathy and for raising that question Accouho.
I knew Dr. Ethel Wolda Benitez did not use anesthesia while spaying because one of her student who help hold my kitten down happens to be our next door neighbor.Thank you for your sympathy and for raising that question Accouho.
@roblestoto you think so? I don't think so...why do you keep on posting this video? do hold grudges against doc ethel ba? You should have reported to the right authority if you think doc ethel did those thing in your cat, not posting this video just to let her down.
My cat is having this done as I type...omg!!...if only there were kitty ortho try cyclen lo!!...---__--''' But spaying is the best thing for her. This still grosses me out though! Note, WATCH THIS ON MUTE!! THAT MUSIC IS SOOOOO INAPPROPRIATE!!
At least they used some drapes. My niece's 7 month old cat was spayed by Dr. Ethel Wolda Benitez in a dusty table with several students watching a supposedly spaying procedure. I could not believe it myself. Our cat was a guinea pig to this vet. She made a 4 inches long incision without anesthesia so the students have to hold our pet. And she is a licensed vet. Only in the Philippines :-(
@roblestoto You posted a comment for a different spay video that the cat's uterus was removed and then placed back in the abdomen. Now you're saying that the cat had surgery without any sort of sedation/anesthesia. Stop lying. I'm inclined to believe you have neither a niece nor a cat. The fact that students were watching is irrelevant (what's wrong with students learning to perform surgery?)
I like the videos because I get to see what the Vet will actually be doing to my cat, but the music is totally unnecessary and makes the whole video un-professional.
Sarah is right - the towels and drapes never look pretty like they do in movies/etc. They are usually a little stained, but always sterile - so don't worry.
@StarSagaPokemon yah but wouldnt you want a new clean unstained drape used on your pet? they may have washed it but just because you wash it dosent mean that its clean! and it looks dirty from the start, so just becareful and chouse your vet wisely.
Veterinary clinics do re-use drapes, but they are put through laundry, then sterilized in an autoclave along with the surgical towels. You don't need to worry about the drape being nonsterile. Stains may be stains, but there is no bacteria present.
i hate the thought of my cat going through it but i know its for the best. its just taking responsibility-inless the people who don't get their animals neutered, spayed-are willing to keep and take care of every animal they give birth to. I also hate those who say "i think they desreve to do it at least once"-you have no education then-the ONLY mamals in the world who have sex for enjooyment are humans and dolfins-every other mamal does it to breed!
its not evil or cruel. Do you know millions of cats and dogs are put down every year because there is to many of them in shelters. Thats saving lives right there. Some people lack education.
um.. 4 all the anoying ppl who go ohh blah blah blah get ur cat spayed meh meh meh if you nuter all of them how do they multiply??????????!!!!! duh then they all die off sooner or l8R
@TheEmotionalAbuse Why in the world? Surgery saves lives everyday! And spaying makes a cat healthier and happier than before! I think now that you have seen surgery you think it is gross but it is a great thing.
Hell nah I agree with TheEMotionalAbuse, this is cruel AMERICAN says that ASIANS ARE CRUEL AND HEARTLESS for eating dogs, at least they respect their food unlike Americans neutering jesus christ...how would you feel if your balls were cut of because somebody doesnt want you to have sex, would you rather get your balls cut off or be killed?
@Yuesx most animals suffer from reproductive issues such as testicular cancer or pyometras. You also prevent MANY behavior problems. Animals are anesthetized during the procedure and administered analgesics such as bupenorphine, it is not cruel at all. You are saving them from MANY health problems and also preventing unwanted pregnancies which prevents many deaths.
Its not cruel and evil it makes the cat better cause when they go into heat it torments them if they don't mate the Estrus hormone is very strong in cats and drives them crazy..
Wait, am I seeing this right? They put the stitches on..whatever that thing was and shoved it back inside the cat. So, those stiches stay inside the cat forever? (Not the outer ones on the abdomen). I'm confused. lol..
I think those stitches sort of disappear, that they're made out of a special material or something .. That's what I was told by the vet after the surgery on my cat
Mine was spayed (female) i was worried when she came back because she's usualy a playful/adventurous kitten and i was scared if it would of scar her for life but after a few days she was returned to normal like nothing happened.
I had my cat castrated because of an undescended testicle but do not condone spaying in every case. I think it is up to the owner to consider the circumstances, it shouldn't be a widespread principle to every cat in existence. Before my cat was castrated for medical purposes, I told my vet I didn't want him castrated and I was bullied and lectured everytime I went to see them. I have had cats all my life and had made an informed decision, I think people need to respect that.
Very interesting video. It's much easier on the cat to have her spayed than to see her have litter after litter. It's also the humane decision since there are so many unwanted animals in the world already. Sad but true.
Yeah. And to think people compare declawing to being spayed. Ugh there's such a great difference! Spaying is a win-win situation for humans and cat, while declawing is solely for the content of the human! So selfish!
@mmmbad Dont' forget that cats can get diseases while reproducing, too - such as Feline Inmunodeficiency. It's just common sense to have them spayed/neutered, and vaccinated - for all those who say, "how would you feel if you were spayed", I ask: how would you feel if you got kitty-AIDS because your owner neglected to take preventive measures?
@sunriseschild You're so right! There are all kinds of problems that arise from overpopulation of cats or any other animals, too. Cats who are spayed are much less likely to get cancer as well. They don't want to roam nearly as much after the surgery. It's really a win-win situation all around. Folks are actually doing their pets a favor. Thanks for the additional advice/information!
@mmmbad Welcome. I'm not sure about their not wanting to roam... My Mia loves hanging out outdoors. I often find her on the roof/trees when I come home, and she still has the occasional visitor... I'm just happy she's happy, but I'm happiest because I know she's safe. I keep her vaccines up to date, and make sure she gets preventive parasite treatments regularly. Oh, and don't forget breakaway collars...
@sunriseschild You are aware that cats can get FIV from a cat fight as well, don't you? My cats are both spayed, immunised, microchipped, wormed, etc and they're entirely indoor cats. Why? Because I don't want to expose them to things like FIV, cat flu, FIP, parasites, snakes, foxes, other cats, cars, people doing cruel things to cats for the hell of it, etc, and I want to protect the birds from them, not to mention keeping my neighbours happy.
I am enjoying the recovery of a female stray who came to me this past September and was spayed yesterday. Before she came to me she may have already had a litter(s). She had 5 kittens in the fall; 3 (?) more this spring; 5 were removed during the spay, about a week shy of birth. But I ask you 'miclady' - if you had 13 kids since last September, how do you think you would feel?
Nice clean surgery without a lot of tissue handling. I wonder why you do not use the miller's knot? It never slips or loosens. I stopped using the surgeon's knot years ago and have no further problems with knot slippage or loosening.
i had both of my cats spayed and one of them was the mother the other one was the baby and they were both fine. they recoverd fully with in 2 weeks and akk if the hair grows back well to and it will no scar her . it is way better than letting her have a bunch of litters or letting her suffer every month when she goes into heat ! belive me it is the right choice to spay her:)
GROSS...I feel sorry for my poor cat Callie.... she gets fixed this week.....
