  • It's pronounced Vur-sales.

  • I enjoyed this one

  • Thanks for sharing another video - I think it's such a wonderful idea that you're filming these old small towns before they get changed and no one remembers them. On a side note, I know this is rude, but it's driving me crazy to know what it is you sell? Can you give us just an idea?

  • Hey Dianna. I manufacture and sell a line of linen towels and napkins to retail gift stores across the southeast. Thanks for watching. -jim

  • thanks - I just couldn't figure out. I heard you once talking about a courthouse and something about a project so I thought it might be restoration. I guess you sell to catering businesses as well huh?

  • Pretty awesome fun video. I just wanted to hear some bluegrass though! haha....

  • Thanks Ben. I had too much bluegrass the day before. Take care buddy. -jim

  • OMG you were right near me! No owensboro love? :(

  • Hey Jenn. Maybe I'll make it Owensboro next trip. I didn't get that far north before I ran out of week. Have you been up to Evansville to see Matt Hawes and the Happy Show? Thanks for watching my travels. -jim

  • Hey "low rider". Grew up on Rod Stewart, good music too (really like the Pina Colada song). Nice scenery Want a chauffer sometime? haha

  • Hey Jim. Yea, I need a chauffeur with a gas credit card! LOL Thanks for watching buddy. -jim

  • Thank ya for not havin Bluegrass...Ya know i like a song just once in while...but thats it.....lol Sharon~ Keep whistlin

  • Hey there Sharon. Yea, a little bluegrass music goes a long way with me too. LOL I do need to whistle more in the videos because I actually love to whistle. Take care. -jim

  • Yet another great car ride! Those people in "Ver-Sales" just completely cut off their French ancestors, and went total southern, huh?

  • That they did Vicky. Thanks for riding along with me through Kentucky. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day.

  • I do enjoy the traveling along but boy, I sure do know how you feel about walking into a business filled with strong scents.....I can't do it....I enjoy breathing too much.

  • Ann you are the only one to catch that. I laughed and said thank goodness they didn't want to look at the products. LOL -jim

  • Much enjoyed the trip through Kentucky Jim.

Thanks for letting us tag along.

    Hugs~Nancy

  • Thanks for tagging along Nancy. I like it when my car is loaded down with YouTubers. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day. -jim

  • $2.99 sounds like a bargin, lol! Isn't that sad :(! I'm headed slightly south this weekend so I hope it is a little cheaper that-s-way! Another great one-sounds like you might be traveling through my old TN area as you head to Bama!

  • Hey Sheryl. Yea, I stayed in Knoxville last night and this morning I'll be headed down I-75 to I-24 through Chattanooga and then exit off at South Pittsburg / Kimball and hit US 72 down into Bama. Have a good trip this weekend. -jim

  • Bless your heart as they would say here in the South. Thanks for watching Peaches. -jim

  • Oh! My friend, Joanne, just moved to Alabama. Will you say hi to her for me, please? Have a good weekend!

  • Hey Michele. What part of Alabama did she move to? -jim

  • Hi Jim, I had to look it up, I see she's near the Tennessee border, in Madison. I have a friend who lives in Georgia also. She recently moved from Alpharetta to Cumming.

  • I grew up in a town about 40 miles from Madison called Scottsboro. In fact, I just got back to Atlanta from a visit over there with my family. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day. -jim

  • I admire your attitude and ease in the job you do. Some have it some dont you have it my friend..

    jk

  • JK, you just don't get to see video of my tantrums! LOL -jim

  • Actually Jim, Versailles is pronounced VER-SALES. Yep. Been to every place you were today. Paris, small depressed, old town, Midway growing but small. Georgetown is a college town and old as the hills. Soft market here for sure. Next time we'll talk. HAHA!! Fun watching you travel roads I travel all the time.

  • Thanks TonyDi. Yep, your descriptions sound much more accurate. They were all nice places but I just didn't find many great gift shops to sell to. There was one nice shop in each of those towns but in each case the owner was not working that day. Often, gift shops are just hobbies for ladies with too much money. The problem is they do the buying but rarely work in their own stores. Go figure. -jim

  • There is an awful lot of "borrowing" of place names over there and then pronouncing them wrong! Real sleepy towns again!

  • Brian I was thinking that would probably disturb my British friends as much as does me. Thanks for stopping by. -jim

  • We didn't borrow them, the English settlers dragged them over kicking and screaming.

  • The Rangeley's apparently did it the Maine!

  • Even if those English settlers were from France! Oops.

  • Jim, I have never tired of any genre of music you provide while we travel along with you. It has always been just right for the moment at hand. Well, you can leave out the hip-hop if you ever get to thinkin' about it...lol

  • LOL I did consider hip-hop today but "my nerve" would not allow it! I just play whatever pops up on one of my preselected satellite radio stations. You can tell, I'm sure, that I like 70's music. -jim

  • Jim your videos are never too long! They are not long enough! LOVE riding along & GOOD LUCK next week!

  • Thanks Susannah. You may be the only one to make it through 9 minutes of my travels. LOL Thanks for watching. -jim

  • I would love to see Kentucky and all of the horse farms. Another interesting vid. Thankyou. hugs, Chris

  • You'll have to plan a trip to Kentucky Chris. Thanks for watching. -jim

  • You're right: Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, and the BeeGees make better traveling music. Congrats on the sale in Lexington (where my parents got married). You sure are a hard worker.

  • Hey Mark. Thanks for the hard work compliment but it's not that hard, just riding around begging for business all day! LOL -jim
