  • Beautiful song for the broken-hearted and lonely...

  • She is more beautiful now than ever. Love her.

  • She is like a diamond.

  • I love her teeth here!!!! They are so beautiful, they make her lips and smile very unique

  • For the Way of love is a way of woe.

  • She's 65 and still has it goin on.

  • It reminds me of a kind of song that Piaf would have sung. Cher is perfection. This is my favorite Cher song. But I wish Vikki Carr would have sung it.

  • Holy crap! It should be illegal for someone to be that skinny! lol <3 her!

  • I agree SeeburgMusic! She has always been the consumate entertainer. Alot of us could take a lesson frm Cher. We all need to reinvent ourself from time to time. She is my Pop Goddess.

  • she is beautiful.....and a wonderful voice.

  • So what she had crooked teeth-I think she looked better then with her flaws ! She still was very talented!

  • That's the Cher I love the best!

  • @britmare thats the real cher , not Lloyd

  • Cher was an absolute fashion icon when I was a little girl. Real trendsetter, square nails? Yes Cher had them... Nobody else.. the longest blackest hair in the world, Cher had it and outfits all of america would talk about for weeks after she appeared at the grammys. She was an original, unapologetically sexy individual woman most women and girls admired. She even had her own doll at this time. This is the Cher I will always remember... Half-Breed, Dark Lady who danced with his wife...

  • does anybody remember who did the original of this song? I thought it was Connie Francis from the early 60s but I can't seem to confirm that.

  • @oyogoyog Lily Castel

  • @oyogoyog Kathy Kirby i think

  • THAT'S THE WAY OF LAWOOOOOWWWW

  • Cher's changed a lot but I like her anyway cus of her voice

  • Why the hell did she get a plastic surgery.

  • I love Cher so much, I am not a teenager by far, but besides my own MOM, Cher is THE Lady. I love you GURL!

  • can we just stop talking about her surgeries NOW and just enjoy cher???hadnt she had all the reincarnations shes had, we probably wouldnt be able to continue enjoying her in these days..chers 64 now and she looks better than ALL of her comtemporaries who have had all the work done too, so i guess its the no drugs/alcohol plus her genes that keep her looking good besides what your talking about!plus no matter whats shes gotten done, theres always very honest and true about her that people love!!!

  • wow Cher is gorgeous

  • At first, you think she is singing this advice to a girl. But then at the end she says "Just the way that you said goodbye to me." Now she's talking to a guy. So is she singing this to a guy who she was dating who came out of the closet and is leaving her for another guy?

  • @FrankBo26 that ambiguity in the song gave a lot of people something to talk about back in the day, i read somewhere that it was cher who didnt want to change the "he" for a "she" when she was offered to do this cover,so we can see how ahead of her time she was by doing this...no pop female artist would have dared to talk about homosexuality in a song back in the 70's...no other than cher!!!

  • i agree. her beauty was special and striking. the surgery distorts her :( what a shame

  • i agree. her beauty was special and striking. he surgery distorts her :( what a shame

  • She never should have started with that plastic surgery crap. It always looks horrible.

  • She is definitely not lip synching here and still sounds almost just like the original recording of this song. Amazing how she can sound so close to it.

  • @JackNDianeNKyle I think its just professionalism and practice... she's an old pro here she was doing BVs for Phil spector in all those records with the girl groups ronettes etc...

  • Ok... is it that white mic fallows her in all old vids?! *annoyed*

  • Cher once said,

"If I want to put a tit on my back I'll do it!"

Cher doesn't care what the haters say about her transformation.

I think she looks great! Love you CHER!

  • Cher once said, "If I want to put a tit on my back I'll do it!"

I think she looks great! Love you CHER!

  • A knife never hit that....till way after this song. Pooh...on the Cher haters

  • what a performance!cher beautiful back then now and always!

  • @glitter26 I think she MORE than earned the right to do whatever the fuk she damn well pleases to herself...as long as SHE is happy then more power TO her!!She rAAwks...end of!!

  • Comment removed

  • well you dont kno for sure that she would have aged gracefuly and even if she did most of her career is based on sexapeal and although i agree that she is amazing and would be no matter what he carear would probably have ended with her first wrinkle figurtively speaking plus do u see the outfits she wears to this day for her concerts like the one in vegas i dnt think she could wear that without the surgery

  • Her hit dance single "Believe" is her biggest-selling recording and was the best-selling

  • to me she is ugly but every one of us are diferent and if you are ugly the best way to carry with that is with dignity... ok she is not beautiful but her music is so nice that you forget the rest.

  • love this song it is so true

  • Oh , I do love this so much. Thank you .xo :)

  • I think Cher is absolutely goreous... now and forever. Love you, Cher!!! For many years now and always will............ and I'm heterosexual... not that that matters, by any stretch. We used to listen to you on our way to Grandma & Grandpa's lake cabin so many years ago... love you doll. <3

  • Cher does what she wants and that's what makes her CHER!

  • Comment removed

  • surgery or not,Cher is still the mutts nutz!!her unique outspoken opinions do her the world of credit...she's kept her 'show' going all these many years, with laughter and love, always fascinating and always trying...i think she deserves all the praise one could ever receive, for a life lived to the fullest, with grace and complete conviction too!!Madame Cher rules, now and forever!!

  • who cares about the surgery..still beautiful and rockin!

  • amazing The way of love Cher is the only one who touches a sensitive part of my heart with this song

  • i love her!!!!!!

  • I think she looks great with the surgery, everyone needs a nip tuck now and then

  • She was amazing then and 30+ years later is still sensational and REAL. Her spirit always shines through.

  • HEMROSA :]

  • this is from The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour!!! Oh I love them! Greatest show ever made! Besides Bonanza, right?

  • Cher was beautiful!! I loved her imperfections, it made her unique. And I hate Cher with blond hair. Blond hair looks ridiculous on Cher and her shiny black hair is beautiful. Too bad, Cher felt she needed all the big lips, etc.

  • @ladylike1980

You are right about the big lips and blond hair. Cher looks better without those features.

  • i love this song with a passion

  • i love this song with a passion

  • an absolute classic....this will live on forever in musical history

  • It was not 76... She recorded this in 1972... I know that for a FACT... I was quarantined with some weird illness... and ALL I did was listen to the radio.. I was in 5th grade.

  • HOLY CRAP, she is beautiful but her teeth were a mangled mess of distress

  • it was 76 to be exca anyway i was talking to a girl friend of mine at that time to tell her it over thats when cher came on tv with this song i was like wow never for get it

  • she was beautiful, oh yes very exotic hot women

  • OMG she's so beautiful! And she has a great voice!

  • my grandma used to look like her when she was younger, same long back hair and features.

  • One of the few of her "generation" that can still SING.

  • Beautiful song, sad song. she has amazing talent.

  • say what you want but this woman could and can SING!

  • One of the most beautiful classy songs of the 70s. Incredible production. It doesn't get enough airplay even though it was a big hit in 1972.

  • At 64 she is still stunning. Cher is a beautiful woman.

  • Cher is the daughter of an Armenian truck driver, John Sarkisian, and an Arkansas-born mother, Georgia Holt (the former Jackie Jean Crouch), Cher was born in El Centro, California on May 20, 1946. She and sister Georganne LaPiere are Part Cherokee and French. Their father deserted the family when both were young and they were raised by their Mother who later married Gilbert LaPiere a banker. Cher quit Fresno High School at the age of 16 in search of her dream.

  • O M G shes soooo HOT HOT !!

Cmmon babe light my fire ! :)

  • is she indian ?

  • Beautiful voice - and yes, she was beautiful before all of the plastic surgery.

  • AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING what a beautiful lady

  • I'm in love

  • Now, That's a Classic from Cher!

  • Ok.... I went back and listened to the versions by Kathy Kirby and Dalida....In my opinion, they stack up in this order #1 Cher #2 Dalida (too much reverb) #3 Kathy Kirby

  • I liked these teeth better.

  • my favorite Cher song, thanks for posting this!!!

  • I am 58 years old, and still dont understand women and why they fall in love so easily. What I mean is, in a nut shell, I dated alot of girls way back then, but only fell in love with one woman, and that was my wife. I been married 36 years, and she is still the one and only! Over the years, I ran into some old GFs, when I would say anything to them, they would have this scough look on their face and make a quick retreat! One old gal gave me a hug. So you never know how they might take things.

  • Awesome.

She's beaiutiful with some set of lungs to boot.

  • Cher's always been beautiful, before surgery, after, inside and out. What an icon! Go Cher, go!

  • Cher is timeless. All the talk about "thin" on here. Have we learned nothing about the value of health and setting an example for the young girls out there. Any surgery Cher has had was her own decision. It's her body and face, we should have nothing to say about it, other than enjoy her. She made great choices and has had an incredible career. She has re-invented herself several times to become the icon she is. She's worked very hard and will always be "The One and Only, CHER". TIMELESS!

  • @MrGetabrain , you are absolutely correct and I do not think ANYONE could have said it better than you. I gave a thumbs up to Cher and to you too!

  • She sings MUUUCH better now!!

  • I love her look back then.

    And so skinny!

  • omg! powerfull voice!!!!

  • she is flawless

  • Beautiful woman. I've been in love with Cher since I was 13 years old. I'm now 51. Guess it's a life long affair.

  • beautiful

  • beautiful... makes me wannna cryyy

  • cher's best song my best song

  • absolutely mesmerizing

  • i have a dvd of the early days of sonny and cher featuring much of the show they did, and she looks incredible, she really didnt need all the surgery, she was very beautiful then and extremely thin!!!!! and the clothes she wore were fabulous

  • cher is the greatest torch singer ever.just listen to her sing this and "am i blue".cher will rule long after we are gone!

  • This looks like it may have been from the Sonny and Cher show - she is beautiful not matter what but there was no need to try and improve herself

  • She'd been in the sun a bit by the look of her. Why did she have to get that mouth job that looks like a joke pair of false lips. Silly woman. Good singer though.

  • I agree.

I think she should have stayed away from all that plastic surgery.

She had her own look here.

    And it was captivating!

  • A hundred years ago I saw Cher sing this song in TO. It still is beautiful, as she is.

    Thanks

  • Cher should have stayed away from the plastic surgery. She's absolutely beautiful in this video and would have aged gracefully. She doesn't look normal now.

  • @robinandthe7hoods that's bullshit, you would've been one of the first people to say that Cher should get something done had she let herself go.

  • Comment removed

  • @eliud82 No,I wouldn't.If the plastic surgery is a big deal to you, then maybe you think it's more important than I do.She still looks good, but she didn't need it.

  • @robinandthe7hoods i think she looks great today :)

  • @robinandthe7hoods

Its this world and the insulting way older people are treated by the young that pushes them toward things like plastic surgery.

  • @robinandthe7hoods I agree. Surgery makes your face look so strange!

  • @robinandthe7hoods i think she still works it <3

  • @robinandthe7hoods Really??? I think she looks sooo good now. You kiddin me the Women look 40 instead of 60!!

  • @FoxyDemonNaruto I hate to break it to you,but nobody who is 60 looks 40.You may look good for 60,but you look 60.

  • @robinandthe7hoods Yeah but she makes 60 look good

  • @FoxyDemonNaruto I think her face could look better, but its not the worst plastic surgery job I've ever seen either.

  • @Rosannasfriend Yeah I guess.....but I still think she looks good....to good ha

  • @robinandthe7hoods basically everyone shouldd stay away from plastic surgery. sadly most of the time, people are beautiful before they change their faces. cher is one example of that.

  • well i grew up listening to cher!! i was lucky enough to see her in concert!! and i will always love her songs and her talents!! her and tina turner both rocked!!!

i have great respect for those two incredible women, who came back to sing again!!!! and give us great memories and great talents,, and still belt out a song!! congrats to them both!! i'm a huge fan of cher and tina!!

  • Cher is so beautiful just as this song is!

  • Armenian beauty. What a talent. Great actress, singer, comedian etc.

  • Who says that she is native american is absolutely wrong. Its not a secret that she has armenian roots. Anyway, I love рук songs and she looks great!

  • Oh Cher, this was part of the journey that was one of those inevitable steps that made you a Mega Star. Great....... to one of the greatest! I love you!

  • Way back in my dating years in the 70s, when things started going bad between me and my girlfriend, I would just go out and get me another girlfriend.

  • She is wonderful. Too bad she had her teeth straightened in later life. It took so much away from her natural beauty.

  • My all time favorite, when I finally saw her sing this in person/concert, I cried all the way through! Sooooo campy!

  • the best versio is the french by Dalida

  • i can just tell that shes a native. cuz i live in the native american capitol of the world. i see natives everywhere i go. i live with idians.

  • she is beautiful but her eyes... looks very sad...

  • What a beautiful, Power House Ballad filled with emotion....We all just loved this song in the 70's,and still do.. a timeless treasure

  • The female Elvis vibratto...

  • cher has always been smoking hot

  • wow...cher was smoking hot back in the day.

  • exactly. she was amazing.

  • @patty3173 Correction, she IS amazing. (SMILE)

  • this was the first cassette tape i ever owned...if you were a teenager in the early 70's cher was the queen of your dreams

  • nice video!!great sonG!

  • NO. Diana Ross was Michael Jackson's first love. He loved cher though alo! But the thing that kills me inside is how she turned her back on him after that statement she said about him. in 2003.

  • Sorry. I meant to give mrarches a thumbs down, not you.

  • What did She say?

  • Cher was a beautiful woman and she still is, she was just a bit more natural in those years. I love her voice, but when she got older, her voice grew with her. It became warmer. She is a great singer and it's so pity that she quit. But I will always adore her music.

  • wasn't she Michaels first love...?
