On the intro dude you should slide and hold the A and the B string it's not a little hammer on the B string the A string is like a ghost note slide

After watching this i went and picked up a guitar bc i love the song with a passion. I have a few friends in a band to give me tabs. First off hammer on an poffs are just pissing me the fuck off. im watching you do it but i cant see you fingers to good. n e ways i looked up the frets online and they are all fucked up. Learning this shit by yourself sucks. Got any suggestions

start of with something slower if you have never picked up a guitar. Not trying to be mean, and I'm not being derogitory. But this is too advanced of a song for someone that picked it up for the first time. Try something like buckethead the way to heaven, or led zepplins stairway to heaven... the begginings to both of those are pretty simple and you can slow them down to your own speed.

Thats what i have heard. Im mostly having trouble with not having the finger tips bleed. Finding a place with the correct frets is a pain in the ass too. If ya know anywhere i could look help would be appreciated.

oh dang, maybe you are pressing too hard on the frets. something that helped me when i was starting was to put super glue, like crazy glue on the tips of your fingers. that will put a buffer on the end of your fingers. after a little bit you might have to do it again. over and over, depending on how long you play. but it might keep them from bleeding. good luck, and keep playing

not bad but this is a really simple tune, dude; candlebox's tunes were never that complex - alot of arpeggiated cords, metronome picking - if you can play speed, you can do this , no prob , nothing about their music is too complex; its all feeling. yeah....and you can hear the slide with the main riff from the 10-12fret; keep practicticing and work on that ear kiddo... originals are where it is at though man....cover bands play for a paycheck, artists play for the world

I would like to give the kid credit for taking time and courage to try to help people play guitar. Some help is much better than no help ! However.....the lesson is wrong. The kid is "close", and it sounds nice, but it's "not" how candlebox plays it ! If you REALLY listen.....CAREFULLY you can Clearly hear the guitarist Slide the first notes NOT hammer on. Just...."Listen", especially to the intro, it's very clearly heard. Keep jammin I'll try to post a lesson when i get a chance. joebobrocker

Thanks for the comment on the tone, I think the popping was my old computer downstairs, it had a ton of viruses on it, and it would make that popping noise and give a message saying my computer was infected with spyware or something like that.
