  • ..........

  • is this song played in a movie or something? I don't know where I know it from and this drives me crazy :D

  • AntiFolk Overdose

  • Wow wow wow... I think, besides of Regina Spektor's "Chemo Limo" this is my favourite Anti-Folk / Freak-Folk song. Awesome, awesome, freaking awesome...

  • @butterflypiano I think if folk music is just a form of people expressing regular everyday experiences and emotions then both Dianne and Jeff are just plain 'folk' :D. Though I like the sound of 'freak-folk' haha

  • @imamacyoureapc Yeah, they absolutely do, but - excuse this primitive question :) - isn't it what people call "freaky"? Jeff singing a disharmonic tune to his chords; the artists "drawing" absurd pictures in your mind with the lyrics; the surprising end (...and that's the life for us)... maybe it's just a question of your or my view to it, but to me "Travel Light" definitely isn't regular plain folk. Besides of all that - "freak-folk" is a word I actually created to explain my own sings :D xD

  • jo regan loves this! yay xoxoXoOoXoxox

  • OMG! thanks for uploading this!! been looking for the original for ages!! is it on any of Jeffrey Lewis' albums? ive got two but is not on them... again, THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • i respect how laura sang in like diane, i mean i know you hear about people making songs their own but it shows she's a real fan of the song.

  • Such a great song. This is so much better than Flynn and Marling's version. No contest.

  • @jubilaz not to hate on laura and johnny but this version is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!

  • both are great. pity whistling is always rubbish.

  • juat a shame laura marling and johnny flynn had to even do their version

  • thanks for uploading, havent heard the original in a while!

  • it's a beautiful song, a shame neither of them can sing the high bits

  • oh my gosh lauras voice is so similar!!!!

  • when i was a record store i didn't have the blues :)

  • Where might I download this lovely song? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

  • I think there is a program on the internet somewhere that rips MP3s from youtube videos, have a surf about in google :). I would upload it to megaupload or whatever but I've lost the mp3 also, sigh haha.

  • @imamacyoureapc Zamzar.com has never failed me :)

  • @imamacyoureapc

vidtomp3 dot com. It's pretty temperamental and there's a million pop-up ads, but it works...most of the time. Don't even mess around with the standard quality. It always leads me to an error page.

  • @ThadleyProductions just copy the video link into dirpy(dot)com

  • @ThadleyProductions there's a site i love called vidtomp3.com where you can rip youtube videos. enjoy! :)

  • @ThadleyProductions These three songs that Diane Cluck and Jeffrey Lewis made together are available directly from them:

    Thanks for supporting the artists!

  • Johnny Flynn and Laura Marling are definitly better, but nice lyrics...

  • @FlorisBarnhoorn I agree. They made it very well.

  • I really like this song, but Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn did an amazing cover. I think Laura and Johnny are just better singers plain and simple.

  • dianes voice is unreal.

  • oh my goodness...thank Goodness for this post! I have been looking for this for forever and a day!! it's lovely.

  • this is probably the greatest love song for me. wonderful!

  • this is not a love song

  • explain? i quite like the idea of it being a love song, these two characters in the song have love for each other and love for a way of living. not that it makes any difference in what you call it. but it's partly about these two people with the same ideas coming together. is more of a love song than most anything esle i know. I can understand its about a lot more than that and I enjoy lots of things about it

  • anti-folk <3

  • both versions are brilliant, i'm a fan of all four of them. :)

  • nope this is better than the cover. they didn't even do anything original in the cover version; they tried to sound exactly like jeff and diane.

  • i actually love LM/JF version just as much as jeffrey lewis' and cluck's original.

considering im a fan of all four

    and i love jeffrey's illustrations

  • Thanks for posting. I heard the cover and looked for this for ages. It didn't help that I thought Laura Marling said Diane Clark! Search for ages before I figured that one out. Just got one of her albums in the post to day. Sounds great.

  • um. i love the song but i think johnny and laura do it better.. possibly because it's more melodic.

  • Johnny Flynn and Laura Marling are SO much better

  • no there not

  • Thank you so much! Been looking for this forever...

  • great song :)

  • is there any way you could provide a link to download this song?

I would be eternally grateful, really. :)

  • I Love This

Laura Marling's Cover Is Just As Good

    x

  • i prefer the LM/JF version simply because i heard it first, but i like the english accents on it also. i like this one too thouhg :)

  • awsome song

  • yeah, seriously i cant find this anywhere!

    where has it gone??

    thanks!

  • wow, laura marling sounds so much like diane cluck!

  • I agree.

  • i think she's even better but yeah they do sound very good :D

  • thank you x
