Hey! I have a ghd but haven't been thrilled with it!
Can you answer something for me?
When you close y our plates together, do they touch the whole way down?
My plates only contact at the end furthest from the hinge...
I spoke to a ghd rep who said this was normal but i have a hard time believing this as it makes it hard to style my hair and a lot more work than my chi used to be
@LouLovesJLS my hair is pretty naturally straight for the most part but i wud sayy like 7-9 hours before i like to retouch it. Like if ihave it all day at work and i go out at night than its not as straight :p
If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.
and does your hair stay straight when you do this in the morning? does it hold until evening or when you go out? how about fog etc? i'm very sceptic because i had so many straightner under the 100 dollar mark and nothing worked -.- but i don't know if i spend more money that it will really be better???

@CherryHeavenGlitter yes it stays straight during the day when i go to school etc. uhm i havent actually gone out at night yet except for dinner one night and it was good too. I think if you have really coarse or thick hair youd maybe want a stronger one than this one.. in temp i mean.. like i find that it isnt as superr hot, but i wouldnt want it too hot b.c its damaging. but if you have stubborn hair you might not be interested in this one!
@LyleenG thank you for your quick answer :) no my hair is not stubborn, just sometimes when i'm having a real bad hair day ;) . i don't want a straightner that is too hot - got em already: they damaged my hair but then i let them grow healthy again and now i want to make a good decision in spending my money on a good straightner. but i think you've confinced me to buy a ghd. thanks a lot honey :)
@CherryHeavenGlitter oh andddd.. to be honest with hair straighteners if you really want a good one, you pay more yes, but its something that will last you for years! so i think its a good idea to invest :) .. hope it helps if you have any more questions feel free to ask! thanks for watching !

@lisa198642 yes my plates do touch maybe its just the one you got. you shouldve excahnged it =S i dont know why the lady would tel you that

I've had this straightner for 2 and a half years and it works like brand new to this day!! Love it!
