you should go to wikipida and check the sell numbers from airbus and boeing, befor 2002 boeing wins everytime after 2002, airbus wins al the time,(2002: year of the €) boeing needs new planes if it want to compete.if they realy want to win the war, they should make a 2.5floor plane
EVERYONE! The A380 is new, and it's cool. It's got tons of space, it's quiet, and it's generally very innovative. The 747 is a classic, but it's not as nice as the A380 because the A380 is newer. Why do you all fight about it?!?!?! :)
i just cant understand you guys, you hate 747, and 747 guys hate A380.. O_O. I like both airplanes and i just cant understand why hell there is in A380 videos comments like this: Boeing sucks. And in Boeing videos: Airbus sucks. Idiots... -_-
LOL, Why can't we all just shut up about who's better and who and appreciate Airbus and Boeing for designing and creating these beautiful aircrafts we can all fly in and enjoy. Less than three you all.
In 2007 I traveled from California to Arizona, Palm Springs, and Italy. Out of all of these flights, 4 were Airbus. 2 out of those 4 aircraft either broke down, or were just coming out of repair, while I was on board. If it's not a Boeing, I'm not going.
A380 will make air tarvel much better than it is currently because a full A380 makes more money than any other airliner that is currently in service. An A380 series starts making profit at 65% full capacity.
Well when those 747 need to replaced. Do you think airlines will choose the outdated and older 747-8 airframe that has less passenger capacity and less passenger comforts and doign all of this while using more fuel per passenger. The choice is obvious. Airlines will choose A380. Once you have flown in A380, you will never want to fly in 747 again. The next wave of A380 will be more efficent. In the future we can look to many improvements in the A380 frame.
I think 747-800 is a cheap and boring replacement for the classic 747-400 series in my minds eye. Boeing did not want to invest in all new 747 replacement as it was seen as too risky a buisness venture. I applaud Airbus once again for taking the risk and pushing the envelope in terms of innovation and design technologies. I think Airbus have pushed aviation 20 years into the future whereas Boeing are still tinkering with a 1960s 747 design.
yeah. let's hash through every air disaster of all time. no thanks. typical way of thinkin by an airbus fan. but as a Boeing fan I like to think of safety, not morbidity.
@fachy1981 Yes but keep in mind the word you had used in your previous post? "Risk"..Not only can the A380 solidify Airbus as a viable jet plane maker that embraces all the new technologies that they use in their planes however the A380 can also sink Airbus just as well....
@fachy1981 boeing were the ones to take a massive risk 4o years ago and when airbus see that large is succesful they just say bigger not better i like airbus 2 but not the a380
@Aviationnation10 A380 has more than 40% more floor space than 747-400. 40% more floor space is considerable size difference.
FYI A330 is the superior aircraft in its class. The Boring 767 sorry I mean Boeing 767 is beaten hands down by the A330 in every single way. All the airlines know this already.
@Aviationnation10 747 is an old design. It has been stretched to it's physical limit. I think 747-800 is the last derivative that we will see of the old timer.
In the next 20 years you will see a shift with airliners as they phase out older 747 designs and replace them with the more modern and more efficient A380 Super

@fachy1981 thats pathetic saying its a killer if it was it wouldnt be flying and 9 out of 10 crahses are caused by human error the 737 is extremely popular and many airlines fly the older models which account 4 some of the crahes saying its a killer is pathetic and just coming up with somthing as theres nothing wrong with it
I am still a fan of Boeing and the 747 -400 is still an amazing piece of technology...i think the A380 is a stupid idea...but clean and qiuet engines are the way to go...I cant wait for the 747-800 to come out, AMERICAN INNOVATION! AlSO...look at what the 747 has done...served airlines for countless years, carried space shuttles, become the PRESIDENTS PLANE!!!! and more, just because some expensive fat foreign plane gets released doesnt mean we forget the vetran airliners!!! GO BOEING!!!!
nice video, although i don't trust "double storey" planes as just yet. Boejing has tried it and succeeded with the 747 but a fully double sotrey plane is almost impossilbe. if a plane like that crashed during business double the people would die than they do in a 777 or 747
Air travel consider to be the safest way to travel. Like travel on the rails, people think the rails are the safest until derail cause people death rate is higher than air travel. Technology are improving and stop giving nonsense fact.
It's an ugly looking aircraft (from the front) but awesome nonetheless. I see it take off an land most weekends - The acceleration during its take-off roll is impressive for its size. Very quiet too!
How was it? Which airline? I've flown business on Singapore - which I loved - and my wife treated me to one of the double suites on Emirates for our anniversary getaway - which really was exceptional.
Nice plane. But how about improving airports so that we don't have to deal with shitty airport staff before we get on?

@ZachSargent Change your airline then :) Airlines buy Airbus *because* they are more reliable and safer than Boeings...
btw, Emirates ordered 32 new A380 today :D I bet they didn't do it because of all the bad experience they made with the ones they already had...

hold on a second! the Americans are commplaining about copying. They should check their own history of passenger plane first.
Fokker F. VII=1924 FORD TRIOTOR=1926
TRIDENT=1962, Copy by U,S. 727=1963
BAC111=1963, Copy by U,S. DC9=1965
A300=1972, copy by U.S 767=1982
A330=1992, copy by U,S 777,1994
from looking at this information up you can see what I mean!!!!!
