  • Can I get a salad fork delsol... Fucking ricers

  • I love JDM!

  • if the civics looked more like the japanese civics in the us they would get better respect

  • @jpolimus The chassis is the same, the biggest difference is the front end which can be easily swapped for a JDM one, and same thing goes for the taillights and trunk lid. Unless you're talking about coupes.

  • for a four door car, the cornering speed is amazing

  • Honda...

    buy a v8 car

and laugh like a moron when u smoke a honda at the street traffic lights,

but cry like a bitch when the civic run laps around your heavy ass ride on the track

  • @edgehogR that was how it was back in the 90s but a 2011 si civic vs a 5.0 mustang? don't be silly

  • hi any 1 knows y the FD2R is too bouncy?. I saw in one FD2R one make race which also shows the suspension bounce alot. Is it meant to bounce that much?.

  • is it just me or is that a prb manifold in the FD2? i thought they were suppose to come with the RRC

  • Tuyschiya...great driving spirit...he was in the U.S. JGTC December 22,2003. in Pomona~California.

  • honda.....

    buy a v8 car

and get smoked by my kpro'd peakboost turrbed out rsx type s.

  • @suckuhhballbag420

shut up if u knew a thing u would put a v8 anywhere...

the only people that drive v8s are the only people that dont know how to drive.

  • @iZeeBoii

yoo nuttsack... if you would have carefully read my comment you would have noticed that im sticking up for imports. i like american v8's but im an import guy. turbo 4cyl over a v8 anyday of the motherfucking week, month and year.

  • the amount of money put into these, next year ill be going to visit the spoon type one shop! cant wait! fd2's looks never grew on me until 1 passed me in london lol...he made my ek9 look normal compared to his =_=

  • 9:37, the Japanese Rocky.

  • thats one fast civic =)

i wish my civic was like that

  • beautiful hondas both sound amazing

  • Because Honda engineers did not create a hatchback platform for the FD2 Civic Type R. The 3 door hatchback idea was stolen by Honda U.K., which they made it hopeless according to Jeremy Clarkson.

  • why do they always insist on using the 4-door?

  • lol. i ask those questions, too. But like everybody says, the 4 door is stiffer, resulting in better handling. i've seen 2dr and 4dr race. 2dr barely creeps away on high end, which isn't that much of a help anyways.. i guess Japanese focus on the best balance, and they don't care much about who's faster on the straights.. solve it for ya?

  • @PeterLikesAsianGirl Kinda like why 2-door AE86s are stiffer than fastbacks?

  • stiffer chasis

  • The DC5 in this vid is one of Spoon's Super Taikyu cars, therefore it has had considerable development over the life of the model. The FD2 in this video is one of the first that Spoon got their hands on so hasn't had the development, they probably used suspension settings from the DC5 but the stiffer chassis led to the bouncing seen here. The same thing happened in the first FD2 that J's Racing modified. It doesn't mean they made a mess of things, it means they'd not experimented fully yet.

  • fd2 and dc5 have complete different suspensions, i dont see how u can use the dc5's set up on a fd2

  • I didn't say "set-up", I said "settings" big difference:

    Spring rates

    Bound/rebound settings

    Roll bar strength

    Camber

    etc etc

That's what I meant. They may have thought the settings they'd calculated for the DC5 would be a good base to work from for the FD2. I could be very wrong, it's just what I think they may have done; and we all know that no matter how similar two cars are (the chassis development for the FD2 came on from the DC5) small changes in settings can make a huge difference.

  • @iceicebuddha Isn't FD2 based on DC5 to begin with?

  • civic looks soo bouncy..????

  • yeah i believe he was actually addressing the issue at 3:16

  • damn those are sick

  • can i have the english subtitle for this great video ?

  • no race no meet group no swap rims

  • yes they really did paint that on

  • they think its slow and would chop it again

  • I think the DC5 had a little bit of an advantage beeing 30kg lighter, but they are so even that it will take some laps to see the difference.

  • @avensis92 FD2 is 50% more rigid.

  • Integra looked so much more composed. But really good match up. Spoon ceases to amaze with the awesome mods for the Integra and Civics.

  • fD2 TYPE RAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hahah I did to (I dont know much about suspension) but Im guessing rebound stffness is too high..but that is what TRACK R&D is for.

  • ah 250/65R my bad

  • at 2:12 some one help me out here 650 R in width? (I can believe 230 but 650!!?)

  • lol @ 6:04

  • Civik is way better ....

  • does anybody know the fully spec of the dc5 integra please reply back

  • The EP3 handles better than the FN2, watch Top Gear prove it. The FN2 has a solid rear axle giving it a major disadvantage, it even has floating calipers instead of fixed Brembos. The FD2 is far better than both and my favorite part is the new final drive. The FN2 is the least of all Type-Rs, mechanically.

  • Yes, both the engines are the same, but I believe the suspension is where the problem lies. The suspension is probably tuned to similar characters, and given that the Civic is heavier than the DC5, it is probably affecting how well the tires can stay on the ground around corners. Notice how the Civic was bouncing out of the corners? Love the vid. What track is that?

  • tsukuba

  • @RaceVideoKid "...Civic is heavier than the DC5..."

    By what like 4 pounds?

  • no way man the EUDM FN2 is nth compair to the JDM FD2

  • FN2 is better

  • the civic is still in devolpment soo

their geting all that figured out

and the integra is perfectly tuned

  • there is definitely something wrong with the suspension set-up of that car! one or moree shocks set at wrong rebound rate or something...

  • yeah its a bit too stiff, im sure they fixed this problem by now. great car though.spoon's awesome

  • damn right spoon rules!! mate has manifold back on his type-r ek9...what a noise!!! cum in pants noise!!

  • whats wrong with the civic??? why is it so bouncy

  • This is not Spoon's finest hour.

  • 8th gen civic designers really fucked up on this one...what an ugly shit. dc5 was always sexy.

  • you my friend.. you're fucked up

  • and you my friend are repulsive.

  • faggot

  • @marlo916 It's the last proper Honda and you're calling it ugly?

  • try having size 13s. :-(

  • i like the 4 door civic

  • Gotta love the heel-toe gearing!! i can't do that with my size 11's!

  • why not? i got 11.5 i can heel toe no problemo. crsx ftw

  • 6:04 hahahaha hes laughing at the bounce

  • Can anyone tell me why the civic bounces in the corners? Is it overdamped, springs too stiff, etc?

  • springs are too stiff... some what.

  • it's meant for the track. or rather a track-ready race car, dumbass

  • I thought that if your springs are too "soft" then they bounce. That's how you get your ride comfort because the softness absorbs the bumps.

  • too stiff the car bounces. too soft the car rides like a wave...i guess is the way to describe that

  • and maybe the civic is too light

  • @johnnysonn I think the dampening is the issue here...

  • The FD2 Civic is 50% more rigid in the body than the Integra Type R, The suspension in the Civic overly stiff, could of done faster lap times, the three pedal is called heel-toe technique to keep revs up while entering corners at high speed

  • using all 3 pedals at once, its called matched reving to down shift

  • but the integra sounds better(better engine) and handles better

  • It's the same engine. The K20a. I own a DC5R and I'll admit that the FD2 chassis owns it. How can the Integra possibly out handle a 50% stiffer chassis???

    Congratulations you have no idea.

  • lol

  • fd x2

  • Daisuke is not as good as the Drift King. Also, the suspension on the FD seem soft, so it bounced alot.

  • the ITR and the CTR have the same motor retard... the K20A

  • Depends what year you're talking about. =P

  • well the two in this video. The DC5 and FD2 share the same motor but the one in the FD2 is obviously more improved and it should be since its the latest model...

  • that is really hugging the bends that civic

  • Why not send the spoon dc2 out to compare I wonder???

  • @3ridetec Because they're totally different cars and the comparison wouldn't be fair?

  • fantastic!!!

  • why he push the 3 pedals??... drift???

  • to back down the gear, brake and keep the revs up all at the same time, its like dancing in the driver seat lol

  • good company!

  • I agree with what everyone has said!!! Awsome vid though

  • SEXY I love spoon. But that Civic's Rebound seems to be to stiff for the soft springs. But it handles fuckin well through Tsukuba!

  • BUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this video was awesome, both of the car was nice, the civic was quick as hell! im impress

  • the integra looked far more controllable, the civic was bouncing all over the place!but both cars are awesome, cool vid
