I've watched this so many times, but I just noticed for the first time that at 7:03 he calls Mean Gene "ignorance". If any of you have not seen Paul Christy's Lou Thesz interview, look it up and you'll see what I mean.
I met this guy a couple years ago at a resturant in mi. He is one of the coolest down to earth guys u will ever meet. Too bad I never met the intense paul from the video. Might have made dinner even more enjoyable

Of course that would also mean that they squashed the idea before it got started.
Paul Christy was a star in Angelo Poffo's ICW promotion, holding their Heavyweight Title a few times. I'll reserve judgment on whether this was a work or a shoot but Mr. Christy didn't do himself any favors by coming off like a buffoon.
Really after reading some of the comments on here, I think some people should search for TNT Tuesday Nights Titans. There's many more crazier segments than this. That whole wedding things and the party is soooooo bizare.

One of the only good decisions vince has ever made.

paul christy is my uncle's father and as a kid i looked up to his son Chris. Chris was the best uncle any kid could have with all the stories of macho man and his dad. He did magic just like his dad does here and i was amazed. If you watch the movie the Wrestler that is the reality of this business and all the obstacles that come with it!

I loved the toilet sound effects that was great. This could be one of the greatest Wrestlecrap inductions ever! Gene doing the sinking ship hand motion and nearly sticking his pencil up the guys butt was awesome! I bet Gene has seen some of the worst interviews ever. I wonder how Vince would have reacted to this garbage?
They couldn't book Tony Clifton, so they found Paul Christy instead.

He wrestled the macho man Randy Savage many times, and his father Angelo Poffo was his Tag Team partner.
