I'm a massive C&C fan, and very disappointed with the way the series has gone downhill since EA's takeover. Tbh I've not played the new C&C games because they won't work on my laptop so maybe I'm a little bias (though I do remember playing the nightmare that was Command & Conquer Generals). After viewing the cutscenes from Tiberium Wars and Red Alert 3, I'm of the opinion that the acting and writing in the Tiberian Sun cutscenes were far more superior. I like RA2 as well, but TS rocks.

anyone else here think that cnc tib sun's fmv's were a thousand times better than tib wars 3? i do, they were much less cheesy, although i do like tib wars 3, tib sun was in my opinion more real, more serious, in both campagins. Really i mean, General Soloman is so much cooler than Granger, although Ironside is a sick actor, oh and if they make another expansion, it should be gdi centered and have mcniel and soloman in it, oh and slavik...i dont want him dead <X3's ) :

Tiberian Sun has the better storyline, Tiberium Wars has the better effects. But filming in the Montauk is still nicer than in the Temple of Nod, IMO

Can't bring back Solomon, though. I think he's probably in the Philadelphia when it blew up. As Granger said, "All others who are above Boyle in the chain of command were in the Philadelphia when it blew up."

But yeah, I want GDI to have the limelight at least once too.

Well maybe they'll get to save the world from the Scin in the next Tiberium game, which won't be coming for a long time because they always make an expansion to the last game released before moving on to the next on.

No, the last game released always gets the expansion before the next game is made. Tiberian Sun came out, then Firestorm was released. Red Alert 2 was released, then Yuri's Revenger. Generals was released, then Zero Hour. Finally, we had Tiberium Wars and then Kane's Wrath. The pattern will repeat, EA will release and expansion to Red Alert 3 then work on the next Tiberium game.

The Tiberian series is always the guinea pig for new tech, such as 3D graphics. And all Red Alert just did was expand that concept further, which is why Red Alert always has a more flexible gameplay.
