This original 'Byron era' Heep was amazing. Lawton, Goalby and now Bernie Shaw era is all fantastic, too, but somehow the Byron era is something exceptional !!
RIP David Byron - "you had to go and find your dream, and live in Paradise".
'I do not like the reappearance of The Jesuits ... If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in hell, it is this society of Loyola's. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religous toleration to offer them an asylum.' John Adams, 2nd President of the U.S.A
This song still ranks either number one or two with me for all time. Depends on my mood.
Heep should have released it as a single. What the hell, if Stairway to Heaven, Won't get fooled again, and other long songs got plenty of air time Paradise would have too.
I certainly didn't need to but I was watching the lyrics here. There are three mistakes.
It's "daunted" sole, not darkened. "So no good you pretending", and "warm away", not
wear. Great job anyways! Just thought you should know.
@TampaBayster 'This war would never have been possible without the sinister influence of The Jesuits.' Abraham Lincoln on the Civil War 'I have learnt most of all from The Jesuit Order. A good part of that organization I have transported direct to my own party'~~~Adolph Hitler 'In Himmler, I see our Ignatius of Loyola'~~~Adolph Hitler
Thanks for this man. I loved this just like it was when i first heard them. Excellant sound quality and the still pictures are top shelf. I fraken loved this. I hope you post more of Uriah Heep albums sides and songs.

After being exposed to music of such insight and profundity, i could never completely be satisfied with all that fell of the tree thereafter. I always found myself going 'back to the past', which simply meant, going back to that which had developed my mind to want more than it otherwise would. I love Led Zep, Jimi H, Janis J, amongst others, but this song is more profound that any i've heard from much of the rest.
