I was born in the 90s so I missed 'classic' dr who. Saying that I've been watching religiously from 2005. Seriously from 'Rose' I was hooked, and I was 14. I'll still b watching it a 30. Pkus I can look back at the old stories, and I still love em, they r still Dr Who, except I prefer the new 1. not bcos of the effects or anything like that but bcos 4 me, personally, it is 'my' Doctor Who, David Tennant is my Doctor and so on

When I was a little kid in the mid to late eighties (like four or five), I can remember Doctor Who coming on after Star Search. creeped out by it. The intro theme really creeped me out.

I think "The Doctor" at that time was that creepy looking curly-haired one.

In short, I never watched the show. It always seemed so foreign. That theme song (which I now like); the manner of dress; all odd to me.

Anyway, I've still never watched it.

i hate russel t davis the acting saved it an example of bad writing in the parting of ways ( it think) davros is about to destroy everything and donna stops her and the doctors clone ( dont ask) is manages to destroy the dalek and their empire and sends allt he planets home. so thats 1 daleks stopped 2 daleks killed and 3 everything saved form 1 FREAKING CONSOLE IN A PRISONERS CELL NO LESS. it is the prime example of acting over writing and the only reasonable episode is davids last what a rip

It was called Journey's End actually. The Parting of the ways was Chris Eccleston's final episode (and a damn good one at that!). And I liked Journey's End, but I do agree that it was pretty stupid of the Daleks to put a console which had the power to destroy their entire army and return planets in a prisoner Cell. Why not on the flight deck with the Supreme Dalek? Then again, it wouldn't normally have the power to make Daleks spin/blow them up. Continued in next comment.

It was thanks to the DoctorDonna and the clone Tenth Doctor's clever rewiring, that the functions of the console were altered, allowing them to maximise the Dalekanium Power feeds, in order to overload and destroy them, as well as being able to spin them around. But why was the Magnetron (the planet stealing device) also in the Vault? Wouldn't it to wiser to have it also located on the Bridge? Perhaps it could be accessed from any console or terminal. That would make sense.
