@bytedildo Pretty sure that is a "Little Manzer",(or a custom made equivalent specifically for Pat) made by the incredible luthier Linda Manzer (manzer.com). She also made the Picasso 42-string guitar, his main 6 and 12 string acoustics, and his baritone guitars, among others.

This is the great Pat Metheny! I mean in order to be able to conceve and play this music you must have some serious background and spiritual awakening not only as a musician but as a human being. Pat is by far the greatest artist of our times and we should all be very glad that he is here with us. I love Pat. Just reading his interviews alone you learn so much not just about music but also how to be a better human being.

Yes i agree with you . I love Pat since a long , long time ago ...His music has encompassed a lot of my Adventures in Life , but he is not a Jazz Guitarist ... in a certain sense he is , but he is a Great Musician that plays Metheny Music .

@Anglosaxoesdatreta Actually there are reasons we can consider him a Jazz musician and that is because of the PM trio. He knows how to play jazz quite well. The thing is that he tries to make music without thinking...this is classical, this is jazz this is pop....

It's a short scale guitar. You can play the song on a normal guitar with a capo on the 5th fret.

yeah you're right - The tune is the same like in standard guitar, but without bass E and with added treble A. Look at 0:58 - it's C7+ - 3rd fret on bass A is C and on added A is 7th fret is E
