I work for a corp of 22,500 people in 33 states. Our 3rd quarter profits more than doubled in 09. Net income rose to 280.8 M, or 94 cents per share, compared to 84.7 M in 08. Recently over 600 employees were laid off. I know of 15 salaried engineers are working 6 - 12 hour days and some work 4 hours Sundays to keep up with the demand. My Pay was cut 2%, I lost my bonus (5% of my pay). My HMO costs more yet covers less. My CEO earns 14 million a year. Obamas fault?? I think not.

He's put through the stimulus bill, for one thing, which will actually put more Americans to work. There's a lot of manual labor that's going to go into rebuilding highways in the US, for one thing. I think Obama's learned decent lessons from the New Deal - whatever problems it had, it ultimately put Americans back to work.

You can't be serious. McCain supports many of the policies of the Bush administration, including a $1 trillion military industrial complex. This is no different than Obama's quest for more entitlement programs. You and I pay for war and welfare, and I find it impossible to believe that these policies somehow translate into a free democracy.

On Nov. 4th we will choose between a welfare state or a welfare state. The fundamental impact these policies have on our country are the same.
Each candidate makes promises about health care, fighting terrorism abroad, etc. All at the expense of our constitution, personal liberties and tax dollars.
Neither candidate talks about fiscal responsibility at the government level. They both want to grow an empire that is corrupt, unjust and an ultimate violation of your rights.
