What is Dilma Rousseff doing about the attack on the Amazon, anything at all? All i see is her encouragement in the form of 'pardons for the farmers'. Whilst we loose the most important eco system on the planet.

I'll tell you what will stop these morons........going to war with them and shooting the retards who are responsible for deforestation, the supermarkets, the farmers and loggers are irresponsible and money hungry criminals, time is running out, if the amazon is lost I die, and if i I die you die. If the populace of Rondônia cannot live in harmony with nature relocate them to the cities. Brazilians need to sort this disaster out.

people need to be aware of the fact that they are only hurting themselves in the end. By eating all this junk,processed,mutated,mass-pr­oduced,chemically altered,pesticide,suicide* "food" you are buying an early suffering ticket to a slow and painful death. there that is the truth. all medical problems reside in the root cause the core of it all "food". Don't eat beef and don't buy anything with palm oil (deforestation oil) in the list of ingredients. Convince just one other person to do the same, and you've doubled the effect you have by yourself. Save our planet!

stop eating meat brosefs, cattle ranching is responsible for 60-70% of the deforestation of the amazon. support local farms, boycott mcd's, make smart consumer choices ppl! buy recycled paper!

@devtchka I remember reading about that the meat industry is responsible for a major part of deforestation and that eating more nutritious and less meat can go a long way. I believe one way to turn peoples awareness to the production of fastfood meat and large company manufactures of meat presently is by "showing" them "exactly" what really goes on to get a steak or a chicken nugget to (now i'm not pointing fingers but since America is the biggest influence nowdays) your plate.

Many individuals living in highly forested areas are lured by substantial offers of money for the logging rights to their land. This occurs in all locations of the United States. A landowner doesn't even have to have a significant acreage to be approached by loggers. A few densely forested acres can yield a lot of wood for an experienced logger.

For decades, the U.S. Forest Service has deliberately clearcut millions of acres of National Forests, selling off the logs to international timber corporations at bargain basement prices. The standard Houses of americans and europeans is wood made houses, and Brazilians ( 'the ones who owns Amazon ' ) none of them lives on wood made houses so, stop building your country economy with our wood then amazon will survive.

if you search about brazilians politicians you will find that amazon lands were sold to lumber companies to cut wood, 90% of lumber companies in brazil are foreign companies most from USA and Europe

so dont buy it from here and Amazon will survive
